Jay Mountain Retreat - Wilderness Paradise - Gorgeous View of Whiteface

  • Let the quiet peacefulness and stunning beauty of the Adirondacks envelop you at this unique property in the foothills of the the Jay Mountain Wilderness. Very private and secluded location, yet convenient to Keene, Upper Jay, Lake Placid, and Whiteface Mountain.

    Beautifully renovated, tastefully furnished and well-equipped, our three-bedroom, two-bathroom log home is perfect for families or a small group of friends. On the upper level there is an oversize master bedroom with King bed, an ample second bedroom with Queen bed, and a lovely full bathroom with luxurious shower and copper double sinks. The main floor has an additional bedroom with double bed and full bathroom as well as full kitchen, laundry room, dining room, and living area.

    Relax on the covered porch, dine on the patio, gather around the fire pit, or watch the sun set over Whiteface Mountain. Kids, dogs, and their parents love the large level lawn and oversized backyard with walking paths (Dogs must be included on the reservation and pre-approved by the owners.)

    If you are looking for adventure, you are close to many popular hiking trails from gentle to epic, swimming holes such as the Jay Covered Bridge, and Hardy Road mountain biking. The nearby Ausable River is a premier destination for fly-fishing. Boat rentals are available in Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. Winter guests enjoy world class skiing and snowboarding at Whiteface Mountain, cross country skiing, and ice skating. Attractions and events nearby include High Falls Gorge, John Brown's Farm, Lake Placid Horse Shows, and the Olympic Museum and Olympic Jumping Complex. You can even take a bobsled ride with a professional driver and brakeman! Many dining and shopping options are available in the Village of Lake Placid as well as in Keene and Keene Valley.

    Check-in time is 4:00pm and check-out time is 10:00am. Early check-in and/or late check-out may be available if approved in advance by the owner. An additional fee will apply.

No parking or driving on the grass. This is to protect our septic system. Guests should park in the driveway. Pet fee $40 per night per pet.
Fires permitted ONLY in the designated fire pit, must be attended at all times, and fully extinguished. Use of the indoor woodstove is prohibited.
No long-term bookings. All bookings must be 7 nights or less. Instant bookings longer than 7 days are subject to cancellation.
