"Great location with access to tram, subway and trains. Walkable to most of the sights, shopping, and good restaurants. Amenities were nice with sauna and steam room - but a warning that it is co-ed. As an American I was a little surprised. The only criticism was the bed wasn’t too comfortable. They are foam and pretty firm. Otherwise I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it."

"Lovely little hotel and perfect for a 5 night stay. Being a lone traveller, the double room was ideal and had more than enough for what I needed (including a really good shower). A few minutes walk to the Ostbahnhof, which is ideal for getting around Munich to see things and do stuff. Checking in and out were easy and straightforward. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful at all times. "

"Beautiful property. Exceptional staff, especially Annabelle Weiss at reception . Always courteous and helpful. Rooms were very modern but a bit quirky. Light switches and outlets difficult to work at first. Excellent buffet breakfast and beautiful restaurant. Very convenient location right next to the central station and Ubahn station, however there is a fair amount of construction in the area and the area to the west of the hotel is a bit rundown, but you can avoid it easily as there is nothing to see in that direction. Easy walk to old town and pedestrian shopping areas. Overall,this is a beautiful hotel with excellent service. Happy we chose THE SOFITEL."
