"We chose this location for our honeymoon and we couldn’t have been happier. It felt like the quintessential Maine experience getting to stay on an island, and the views were incredible. It was great being so close to Acadia too. You will have to be vigilant with the ferry schedule and being to the docks on time. Otherwise, you will have to get the more expensive water taxi if you miss the last ferry. Also, keep an eye on the ferry facebook page. They will sometimes cancel times due to wind/weather. The hosts Jennifer and Geoff were fantastic and always had quick communication with us to answer all of our questions. The caretaker Paul brought us more firewood right as we were running out as well. We were well taken care of!"
