A nice home with a fabulous kitchen. Very comfortable with lots of seating for relaxing and for meals. 2 bathrooms for 4 bedrooms was a little tight - one bathroom is only accessed through a bedroom.
My friends and I enjoyed our stay here very much. Close enough to bar harbor and Acadia but still secluded. First night was cold and we had trouble figuring out heat but eventually got it.
Very relaxing area convenient to the (mostly) less-crowded Acadia sites and Bass Harbor / Southwest Harbor restaurants and activities.
House is in great condition and very clean. Everything went smoothly, leading to this very boring 5-star review.
The Golden Lantern is a beautiful house - Our group of friends had a very comfortable stay here! It Is comfortable & spotless - had everything we needed! The location was perfect for visiting Acadia, Bar Harbor with many restaurants close by! Will definitely come back!
The home is basically new and as described. It is in a perfect location for visiting Bass Harbor and Bass Harbor lighthouse. About a 25-minute drive to Bar Harbor. The giant Roku TV in the living room was a plus.
Golden Lantern was exactly as listed. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was enough space for our group of 7. We really enjoyed our visit.
This place was awesome. It is a 20 minute drive to the main Acadia entrance and Bar Harbor but the drive is scenic and quaint. Bass Harbor area is quiet but does have a few nice lobster eateries. The gem of our trip was walking 5 minutes and doing the Bass Harbor Nature Cruise. If you stay here, the nature cruise is worth the 2 hours. If I come back to the area, this is the first place I'm looking to stay.
