"I really loved this stay! The island was very nice, I loved being able to immerse myself in nature. I saw wild parrots too! The hotel was still in the process of renovating during our stay, so I expect that...

"After booking, we repeatedly messaged the hotel for directions and only got a reply at 7:55am on check-in day, telling us the only boat left Cartagena at 8:15am. No way to make it. They then sent a contact for a 9am boat costing 90k + 30k port tax, though cheaper 70k options exist. Given boats run only until 9am and transport can cost as much as two nights’ stay, this should be clearly stated before booking – we could easily have missed the first night. At the hotel, overnight guests have no...
