About this property
Hot Tub | Log Cabin | Dog Friendly | Bunk Room
A log cabin at 10,000 ft in the pines and aspens, with Silver Creek running out back. Soak under open sky, watch for moose, and take your coffee out on the deck.
🛁 Private 6-person hot tub 🐾 Dog friendly (2 dogs, up to 75 lbs) 🛏️ King suite with its own deck door 🥾 5 min to St. Mary's trailhead 🔥 Electric fireplace ☕ Espresso, drip, and French press 🎶 Victrola record player + records 📱 370 Mbps Starlink WiFi
Built for a romantic getaway for two. Plenty of room for the whole family, too.
The Space:
A single-level log cabin. It's a getaway for two that can sleep six. The walls are wood-paneled, the tall windows look out on aspen and evergreen, and an L-shaped leather sectional faces the electric fireplace. The fireplace puts out real heat, not just a glow.
🛏️ The primary bedroom has a new soft king mattress, a towel warmer with two robes, and a door straight onto the deck. 🧑🍳 The full kitchen has an espresso maker, drip coffee maker, French press, Aeropress and Instant Pot. The table seats 6, and there are 4 stools at the island. 🎶 Victrola record player with a stack of records. 📺 Roku TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. 💻 370 Mbps Starlink and a dedicated workspace. 🧺 Washer and dryer, plus a pack 'n play, high chair and baby gate for little ones.
Sleeping Layout: 🛏️ Primary bedroom: 1 king bed (private deck access) 🪜 Bunk room: 1 queen (bottom bunk), 1 twin (top bunk), 1 twin trundle Pack 'n play available for infants Sleeps 6 max. One bathroom (shower/tub combo).
Outdoor Living: The hot tub is why people come back. It seats six, runs 101 to 104 degrees, and sits under open sky, so the stars are right overhead after dark.
🛁 Hot and ready when you arrive 🍽️ Deck dining table for 6, electric grill, Adirondack chairs and bistro lights 🦌 Moose, deer and elk wander through, usually early morning or dusk 🌲 About a third of an acre of trees and meadow, with Silver Creek along the back 🐾 Room for dogs to sniff around (unfenced, so keep them close) 🌙 Very little light pollution. Clear nights get properly dark.
Nearby Adventure: Moose Landing sits in the St. Mary's neighborhood, up Fall River Road about 25 minutes above Idaho Springs. At 10,000 ft, you start at the edge of the high country.
🥾 5 min: St. Mary's trailhead (about a mile round trip to St. Mary's Lake, paid parking) 🚘 55 min: Echo Lake and the Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway, North America's highest paved road (summit road needs a reservation) 🎿 50 min: Loveland Ski Area and Echo Mountain ❄️ 1 hr 15 min: Winter Park 🏰 25 min: Argo Mill & Tunnel gold mine tour 🛶 25 min: Clear Creek whitewater rafting, Class II-V (May-August) 🚂 35 min: Georgetown Loop Railroad (seasonal) ⛰️ 1 hr: Guanella Pass scenic drive
⛰️ 10,000 ft elevation. Some guests get mild headaches or fatigue the first day. Drink extra water and take it easy.
🛣️ The last 400 yards are dirt and gravel with 4 switchbacks. AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended October through April. Snow can fall in any of those months.
📱 Cell service fades as you climb the mountain. Download directions before you leave Idaho Springs, then get on the WiFi (370 Mbps Starlink) when you arrive.
🏡 Not fully secluded. The cabin sits close to the road, and you'll see a neighbor from the front of the house and the deck.
🚿 One bathroom (shower/tub combo) for up to 6 guests. Plan morning showers accordingly.
🐾 The yard and deck aren't fenced or gated. Max 2 dogs, up to 75 lbs each, with an $89 pet fee.
🔥 No fires. Clear Creek County bans fire pits, propane grills and open flames at short-term rentals. The deck grill is electric.
🐻 Bears are active. Keep food and trash inside, never in your car or on the deck.
🌡️ No A/C. There are ceiling fans and portable fans, and nights stay cool at this elevation.
🪨 A stony path with a few steps leads from the driveway to the front door, so it isn't wheelchair accessible. The steps from the primary bedroom's deck down to the yard get slick when icy.
📹 Exterior cameras: a video doorbell and a driveway camera. None face the hot tub or the inside of the cabin. 🏔️ St. Mary's Glacier's summer snowfield fully melted in 2026 for the first time on record. The lake and trail are still there, and winter snow returns each season.

Perfect for a cozy getaway in the mountains. Was fun for 2 and could easily accommodate a family getaway. Host was proactive in making sure everything went smoothly, but all was set up how we needed it from the start so their support never ended up being needed.
The host puts a lot of thought and effort into making your stay relaxing and entertaining. Communication was clear and quick to respond. The lodge was super clean and functional. Beds are comfortable!

What a great place! Every detail of the cabin was amazing! Cozy, comfortable, clean. You get to live the real retreat in the woods, surrounded by trees, mountains and lots of snow, which is perfect for being in the hot tub. The host were always attentive and we have great communication. I'll be back to this cabin without any doubt.
We just stayed at this property for a long weekend and it did not disappoint. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, including children’s toys and dishes. It had a nice little deck with comfy chairs and the amazing hot-tub, which we all enjoyed. The beds were very comfortable. Natalie and her team were amazing to work with. She was so responsive and willing to help with any issues. We were also welcomed by our moose every morning. I would highly recommend for a nice mountain getaway.
This place was a nice getaway the hot tub was hot and clean. The atmosphere was wonderful. Everything was very clean! I Definitely recommend this place
Comfortable, well outfitted, especially the kitchen. We were able to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner! Hot tub was wonderful on snowy evenings. One of the best vacation homes I’ve stayed in.
A fun place to stay that can sleep up to 5 people. Ideal for the summer, a bit difficult to get around in the winter. The only thing that cost it 1 star is that the beds are very hard to sleep on and there are no mattress tops to help :(
Natalie was easy to deal with on the VRBO App and responded promptly when ever I messaged her. The cabin was very nice, and we got away for the weekend from our everyday routine. The cabin is about a mile from the trailhead of Saint Mary's glacier. Saw a moose at the next door neighbors all three day. All in all very good trip.
