"Very nice hotel, close to beach and city centre. "
Had a great time and did not want to leave. Staff were very friendly, helpful and always smiling. We were worried that the weather would not be very good as we were checking daily from the UK but when we arrived we found that it was great every day.

"Good for relaxation"
The hotel location is quite good for even who don't drive like me. The location is near the main road where public van will pass. The hotel was nice with fresh scent - I really love it. The room was good and so big for 2 person. However, we booked in Jacuzzi room but when we was using this, it was taking time to get the water full in the Jacuzzi due to navel tub can't close tight. The bar and restaurant was nice to see the beach and chill on it. The food was good though. The swimming pool is too small and too public.

"An excellent couples retreat"
Aleenta deserves 5 stars for its excellent environmentally conscientious approach to the operation of this hotel resort business. It is an excellent retreat for couples or individuals. The location is again 5 star, on the beach - you can't beat that. Incredible views. The management and staff I interacted with are 5 star and were very helpful in all aspects. I would caution families with young children to do your due diligence before booking. Make sure you are going to get the room you were expecting and be aware that this is a small exclusive hotel resort that cannot be all things to everyone so be prepared to compromise a little and you will have a wonderful holiday. James, the manager, lives up to the wonderful praise you will see in many reviews. A consummate professional and a gentleman, a tremendous positive influence on this resort. His colleague Jump, is clearly following in the same mould. There are some small issues that need to be addressed but these are deferred for obvious reasons. The tiling in the pool at the Frangipani Wing needs repairing but is not unsafe. Just wear and tear and it's a big job to close the pool and complete this work during a busy season. Reception staff need a little bit more training and strengthening English language skills would be a big plus. Otherwise, the quality is there. An excellent resort where you know the staff and management's heart is entrenched. A rare find in Thailand.

"A little oasis of calm among the big hotels"
I stayed in one of the garden bungalows for 4 days with my little boy. The whole stay was utterly charming. The hotel is right on the beach with lots of sun loungers and feels like a more traditional Thail style place - surrounded by the big chains. Lovely, quiet relaxed vibe and very good food. After staying somewhere more expensive that had a terrible breakfast this one was a delight - and you could just take it slowly and enjoy looking out to sea while you sip your (decent!) coffee. The other food is excellent too - great fruit shakes. The restaurant staff were especially friendly and helpful. The bungalow was spotless with great air con and was a good size - nice high ceiling. Its not 5* and nicer for it as it makes up for it in atmosphere - I thoroughly recommend this place and will come back.

"Exactly what I expected"
I had read that the hotel was 'tired' and by Western standards it was but this is Thailand. Great location, clean, quiet beach away from the hustle of Cha Am. Staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Food in the beachside restaurant was very good and excellent value. Pool was large and clean. The hotel was full but it didn't feel so when we were there. I live in Thailand and have travelled all over the country and stayed in 400bht resorts to 6 star luxury. This hotel did exactly what it claimed and more. I will go back in preference to the high street Cha Am alternatives every time

"Great hotel in the middle of nowhere."
Awesome place if you want to get away from it all. Very peaceful. We went there for our honeymoon, and had a great time. Some of the public areas do need a little renovation, and they had started this when we were there. And the staff's language is only ok, there were some communication issues. But our bungalow was divine, it had its own small lap pool and was very nicely appointed. The rooms were very clean. The main pool was also kept very clean. There were some activities like kayaking and sailing a catamaran, but mostly this place is for reading poolside, walking on the beach and sleeping in the sun. There isn't much nearby, a monkey temple and an elephant park, and no shops either, so you will most likely be eating at the restaurant for 3 meals a day. The food was great, expensive for Thailand, but you're in a resort, and you have to expect resort prices. Lots of Thai's go here for a weekend, so the place is not overrun by tourists.
