"Located in a great area right in the heart of Keswick, super easy to walk to shops, cafes, bars etc. The property is a decent size and has mostly what you’d need during your stay (some Tupperware for guests to use would be really handy). As the property is pet friendly itd be helpful to have an outdoor tap to rinse your dog off after a walk. "Really impressed with our stay. Lovely old hotel with a sort of faded grandeur. In the best possible way. Huge bed, great bathroom, excellent breakfast with daily specials as well as the usual suspects. Free parking on the road out front (if you can find a space). All in all a thoroughly enjoyable visit..."

"The room is rather small- the pictures are misleading. The check-in process was a complete disaster. When we arrived at the facility, around 3 pm, there was nobody at the facility to help us with the check-in. We rang the bell and there was no response. We were foreign tourists and we didn't have phone connection to call at a UK number. Ultimately, a friend had to do a long distance call to reach the owners and help us get into the hotel. The sink overflowed during our two day stay. Although we mentioned this to the owners, it was not fixed during our stay. The sink is also tiny and the bathroom is as big as an airplane bathroom. I could not take a shower and wash my hair by bending my head down as there was no space to do that in the shower area. "

The staff could not do enough for us throughout our visit; they were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely looked after from start to finish. The location was perfect for what we wanted, and we honestly couldn’t have picked a better hotel. Everything came together to make our stay exceptional. FIVE STAR STAY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"This hotel is in an excellent location in Keswick and the staff were very helpful. The bar area was large and relaxing. However, the room, apart from the carpets, was tired and needed refurbishment. There was a black mould around the wooden windows. The shower unit was yellow with age. Even the toilet paper was thin and cheap. The breakfast was adequate, but the orange juice in particular, was like coloured water. Given the much higher price compared to local b&bs, we were disappointed with the overall experience."
