"When I arrived, I was struck how beautifully situated (walk out of the station and there it is!) and tastefully decorated the hotel was. It's a gorgeous old building. Staff were wonderful. It was only when I met up with some clients that they said "oh the one run by YMCA.?" And indeed it is. They train young people in hospitality, and I think that makes it even better!! Will definitely stay again. Especially as it was cheaper than other local chain 'budget' hotels"

"We stayed as a stop over on the way from Hertfordshire to Devon. Useful location close by the M5 and easy to find. Clean, comfortable, meals available, staff helpful and friendly. We were late down for breakfast but the young barman still sorted it for us. "

"Really happy with our stay in the Ground Floor Flat. Layout gives space and privacy for an extended family, especially when connected to adjoining room. Very happy with the price paid on a 'cost per person' basis. Everything seemed newly refurbished and, while fittings were not luxury, everything was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and location was very convenient for what we needed - ideally between the railway station and cricket ground - albeit not the most picturesque part of the town."

"Everything about the hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The facilities were fabulous with the Spa and we ended up eating in the hotel restaurant the Upper Deck each ever our stay because the food was so good. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "
