Cozy house 140 seems to be an affordable little hotel very close to bui vien walking street in district 1. The rooms were simple with ice cold air conditioning and the staff were very good in english and always happy to help, even facilitating our transport to the airport at 4am.

You can do better
This was our last hotel on a 3 week tour of the country and I was pretty disappointed. We spent the most per night on this place and it was my least favourite. Pros: Clean bed Nice art Minimum street noise Cons: They did not clean our room the first day despite having the sign hung on the door. When I asked about it that night I was told that they didn’t because I hadn’t asked. I pointed out that this was a Motel and that daily housekeeping was an expectation. The second day, was told there wouldn’t be cleaning because the maid is off today. Finally got a clean on day 3 The window looks directly at the wall of the next building No coffee or tea Limited plug-ins and they are in inconvenient locations Weird bathroom setup with the shower not being separated - it was constantly wet as we often showered more than once a day Internet was mediocre at best You can hear other guests loud and clear in the middle of the night

Great place to stay at, especially for the price!
When I go to Ho Chi MInh City, I look for a few things when it comes to a hotel: air conditioning, WiFi, clean, no mosquitoes in the room, a decent location close to various restaurants and entertainment. This place checks all of those boxes, and so it has been my "go to" place to stay at when I am visiting this fun, but chaotic, city. The staff has also been friendly and accommodating. I mis-booked the dates on hotels.com, and they were kind enough to adjust the dates for me, free of charge. The only complaint I had was that they went into the room one time to remove some furniture around without my consent when I was out and about. I had some valuables that were inside the furniture that they removed, which they left just outside in the balcony of my room. Fortunately, no one stole my valuables and I was able to retrieve them without issue. However, there should be some notification given if they were planning on doing things like that. Otherwise, this has been an enjoyable stay. I would stay here again in the future when I visit Saigon again.

Next to Pham Ngu Lao backpackers streets. I thought its not gonna be noisy but turned out I still hear the terrible bases and disgruntling noises from the street bars next door way into the night. A good night sleep is important for me so I will Not book here again!

Thanks for your feedback, we are so sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience at our place. To be honest, the noise from a next-door bar is not too serious during the night. If you let us know this thing at that night, we can immediately change you to another room. Anyway, thanks for staying with us and hope to see you again.

Clean, good condition, good location but noisy
Clean room with decent space and nice bathroom. Good wifi. Good location (super close from the terminus of the bus shuttle to the airport - a 5 minutes walk). The only bad point to me was the noise, I could hear all the monstruous noises of the street with motorbikes and honks. I think the hotel should invest in changing the windows with double glazing windows, it will certainly make the room quieter and also provide more thermal insulation from outside (and require less A/C use)....

I'm impressed!
When I saw all of the positive reviews on Hotels.com, I was a bit skeptical. I mean, it's near Bui Vien...how nice can it be? I've stayed in a few places near here, and they've all been a bit lack-luster... Well, consider me impressed. I think this is the best 3-star hotel that you'll find in Southeast Asia at this price (with the exception of maybe this one place in Bangkok that I stayed at for the same price). And the main reason for this is due to its cleanliness. This place looks clean. The other things are great as well; hot shower, comfortable bed, nice air conditioning, et cetera. The main thing that immediately attracted me when I first entered the room, however, was how clean it looked...and near Bui Vien, that's saying a lot for a cheap hotel. If there was one slight negative, I would have to say that the WiFi isn't the greatest. It's not bad, but definitely not great, either. I usually use my phone's data plan, which runs faster. That said, I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Ho Chi Minh City. Once I find a good hotel, I tend to stick with it, and this has been my favorite 3-star hotel in Vietnam.

Worst experience of my life, hotel stuff/receptionist was extremely arrogant, their attitude, behaviour was simply inhuman. They didn’t pick up from airport because flight got delayed by 30 minutes, I arranged for taxi from airport after waiting for almost 30 minutes. To our surprise on reaching the hotel receptionist started asking for money for airport cab even though they didn’t give the service. We were exhausted, somehow got room key after tolerating harassment for another 30 minutes as we were helpless. These people are total shame for hospitality industry, given the choice I want to rate them -ve, I wish no one ever had such a horrible experience on a holiday. I would strongly suggest NOT to book this hotel.

Pros: The location is great, there is a tiny supermarket right across, a few convenient stores nearby and lots of restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and wifi was good. Cons: I booked a basic double room, it had no windows and there was no bath tub or shower area, you are just showering right next to the toilet. (Unexpected because I didn't see any pics of the bathroom on Expedia, but I think it's common for budget hotel in Asia?) There was smell of paint in the room and they said the rooms were painted a month ago. Since the hotel is not listed in Google, every time you have to find this hotel on the maps or when booking a Grab car, you have to type in the address. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. It was good value and I was quite satisfied. One last thing I wanted to mention is that there is a rooster living next door and it crows every morning. It wasnt very loud but we could hear him in our ground floor room. Bad thing if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep in. But I kind of liked it, you get to be waken up by a real rooster not the alarm on your phone.

CLEAN HOTEL
We book 2 room at Cozy House 140 for 4 nights, but they arranged us to stay at Cozy House 160 which just 3 minutes walking distance from 140 due to 1 of the room has porblem . The room is very clean & complete with the basic facilities needed.The decoration of the hotel is simple & nice. The surrounding environment is silent & we have a good sleep in the night compare with the hotel located at the bar street. They provided complimentary fruits & mineral water every day. The hotel location is quite nice, the market just 3 minutes walking distance from hotel & the food there is very nice & cheaper.And a lot of convenience store & restaurant over there. The staff is friendly & helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Really love it!
We only stayed one night but we loved the location of the hotel. It's in easy walking distance to all of the major sights. Our room was a nice size and always cool with the AC. I recommend this hotel to young travellers.
