Was a good night's stay. Julia and Ryan were very friendly hosts and run a nice smooth operation. While I didn't have any of their main meals, what I saw that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. I did have a sticky date pudding which was divine. The morning after I took a short walk up the mountain track behind the lodge which gave excellent views of the surrounding landscape.

The service from Lisa was outstanding - so friendly and accommodating. The supplies were well above average, with adequate toiletries, a great coffee and tea selection, as well as excellent and generous Continental breakfast provisions. And all...

I mistakenly chose this place while looking for accommodation in Greymouth, and I’m very glad I did!
It’s a wonderful place — homely, warm, rustic and peaceful. I booked a room with shared facilities and was lucky enough to have the place to myself for the night. My room also had its own surprisingly spacious bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.
The staff were lovely and welcoming. I was initially a little anxious about the more isolated location, but the hospitality quickly put me at ease and I...
