"This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. The hotel has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. There is ample seating outside which is great on a summers day,The grounds are kept beautifully. The hotel is an old building, unfortunately no air conditioning in the bedrooms due to the age of the hotel, but fans were provided, as we visited on the hottest day of the year.
The hotel is very welcoming, all staff are very friendly, polite and helpful… a special mention to Helena on the reception desk, what a great asset to the team, so chatty, made us feel so welcome on arrival, 5 star service.
We were upgraded to a deluxe room as a surprise for our 26th wedding anniversary, the room was wonderful.
Our stay included breakfast which was buffet style from continual to full English. My only criticism was the hot food had been waiting around for a while under the hot plates and some of the food was warm not hot.
This is a superb hotel and we will definitely be back. Thank you"
