"Mixed feelings about this one. The hotel Itself and the room were lovely .The windows of the room were extremely good at blocking a lot of the street noise. We had some laundry done and it was back in less than 24 hours which was great. When I asked in advance if there was a bar fridge they advised there were no fridges in the rooms but that they would place one in our room which was done and greatly appreciated. The mixed portion comes in with a couple of other pieces - we were there for two nights so one full day . When we checked in we were told about the shared balcony we could sit out on and enjoy a beverage and the library we could get a coffee in any time in. However when we went to get a coffee and bring wine to sit outside in the afternoon of the full day it was clear there was some kind of meeting going on. When I asked at the front desk they confirmed that the spaces were both in use for a netting til 6 pm . We’d think that would have been known the day prior and so those amenities should It have been offered. Also when we came back from the ( same ) day of sightseeing around 3:30 we were surprised our room had not been done - when we asked we were told the rooms that were turning were done first and other rooms would be done later that. we’ve never experienced that in all our travels over the years so maybe that could have been shared on check in. Both contributed to affecting my birthday plans which was part of why we had booked here"

"As a retired flight attendant I'm used to small hotel rooms (Japan, Paris, etc) so that wasn't a big surprise to me. There is ample storage space for two people, even in the bathroom, which was a nice surprise. I loved the rain shower! There is ample room in the fridge, but the ice storage space was coated with thick ice, barely room for one little ice tray. On a down note, we couldn't control the thermostat in the room. It stayed at 24.5 C (76 F) for our entire stay, which is uncomfortable for guest from Texas. I couldn't find a phone number posted to help us. After the sun went down, we opened the windows to cool the room off so we could sleep. It is a short walk to Zürich train/bus stations with plenty of dining spots in the neighborhood. There is a lovely Italian restaurant, Milano's, across the street, so after a long travel day to get there, that was a pleasant relief. There is also a well stocked Coop grocery right next door. There is also a convenient coffee/snack off the lobby. Recommend bringing the ceramic cups from the room to hold the paper coffee cups as they are extremely hot to hold by hand. On the lower level (-1) there is a gym and a "WeWash" laundry room. You need to download the WeWash app to use. I loved this! It even provides the soap so you do't have to pack any! You can stay in your room and the app tells you when your load it finished. I will definitely return to City Pop!"
