Solitude on 172 private acres in Highland County.

Solitude on 172 private acres in Highland County.

10/10 Excellent
"This is a remote setting, surrounded by mountains and wildlife. It is quiet, peaceful and a reminder that there are still places like this in the world. All the modern conveniences are there including Wifi and Dish network. No cellular service (but who cares?). If you are fortunate to have clear nights, you must look up and see what the night sky looks like without light pollution! It is amazing to see the Milky Way and the billions of stars. If you have a telescope, bring it. There are a host of small museums, restaurants, and day excursions nearby. The Green Bank Observatory is a fun day trip. This was our third time here, I'm sure we will be back."

"This home is situated in a lovely neighborhood situated by a river. Morning glories on the porch, bunnies in the meadow, and continuous bird song provided a peaceful setting for us. The host thoughtfully provided many touches to make us feel comfortable. My husband and I are looking forward to another visit!"

"This was a perfect rental experience! The cottage was adorable, with beautiful views. Peaceful surroundings. Exceptionally clean. Every amenity you could want, including fresh food in the fridge. Fully stocked kitchen. Nice walk-in shower. There was even a fire pit, grill, and firewood provided. The host was very welcoming, and made sure that our stay went smoothly. I could have stayed there for a week, just relaxing, enjoying the property, and sightseeing in the area. Definitely recommend!"
