"Interesting historic place. Pleasant place to relax and a great base for exploring the Hawke's Bay. Spent 3 nights there, service is good and the staff very helpful. Stayed in the "William Nelson Suite" and we could relax on the verandah or in the grounds with its historic trees."

"Loved the character and style of the building and its view. Wanted the kitchenette for breakfast and found out later that this was not in the room but a few doors away. It was manageable but a little challenging at times."
