What we love about our cottage:
It's our place to get away from it all, to disconnect from the hustle of daily life. Peace and quiet with access to everything the area has to offer.
How our cottage is different from others:
We like nice things and so the amenities we provide are first-rate (beds, linens, towels, stocked kitchen, etc.).
Favorite thing within walking distance:
The Beach! It's a short ~3 minute walk from our driveway on a private road. Our small community owns over 400 feet of beachfront on Lake Michigan.
What our guests love the most:
The location and sunsets at the beach; the beds (over half of our guests have asked for details about them!), and all of the little details to make their stay comfortable. They also love the high level of communication. It’s our goal for you to enjoy everything as much as we do, so Paul goes out of his way to help you plan and prepare for your stay.

Lake Michigan and over 400 feet of private beach is just a short ~3-minute walk down our private road. We provide beach chairs and a wagon for toting kids to the beach and back. Reserve Beach is adjacent to our private beach, and Church Beach is just a short drive down the road. When you're not searching for Petoskey stones or out exploring the wonderful attractions this area has to offer, you can relax on the deck chairs or around the outdoor fire pit in a peaceful and serene wooded setting. A perfect place to have your morning coffee or glass of wine at night. The only sounds you will likely hear are the birds, the wind in the trees, and crashing waves on the big lake.
Some of our favorite things to do: Sunsets at the beach; the Readmond Township Nature Preserve has well-maintained hiking trails and is adjacent to our community; Church Beach/Middle Village Park is another local beach with great sunsets about 1.5 miles down the road; Cross Village and Sturgeon Bay Dunes/Wilderness State Park area are a short drive north on M-119, and the historic Legs Inn is one of our favorite dining spots; Harbor Springs Downtown area is about 14 miles away with shopping, dining, movie theatre, and more; Nub’s Nob and The Highlands at Harbor Springs area about 17 miles away and our favorite places to ski and golf; Petoskey is about 30 minutes away depending on traffic, and is the closest "big town" with everything you could need; Bear River has great kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding, and we recommend Bear River Livery - tell Karen we sent you and she will give a discount; Last but not least Mackinac Island is a great day trip - ferry service is about 45 minutes away.
