This charming coastal suburb boasts a scenic beach perfect for swimming and the historic Hampden Hall where community events showcase local culture. Grab fish and chips to enjoy on the shore or take a short trip to the Moeraki Boulders, where these mysterious spherical formations dot the nearby coastline.

We only stayed for 1 night on our way to Dunedin. After spending the evening in Oamaru we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay at the motor lodge when we visit again.

The property was centrally located. We spent 8 days and we were comfortable the entire time we were there. The property was quiet our suite was clean, loved the spa bath, well heated on these cold days. Thank you

Bigger fridge/freezer needed and a little too much road noise from the front, double glazing would be great, strange that it installed at the rear, a bit sparse on utensils, crockery, a decent hotplate would be an added bonus, having said all that I would gladly stay here again!
