"Walls are really thin and the building fairly old. Any walking or running makes the room shake as if in an earthquake. If you get stuck with a family with 2-3 young kids above you, say good bye to any peace you thought you'd be getting at this get-away. We also got downstairs neighbors celebrating 16th b-day. Not only were they obnoxiously loud, but they were also outside splashing in the pool and jacuzzi well after 11:30pm. Staff kept coming by to tell them to leave, but they refused. Ordeal took hours and way longer than it should have to get handled. Think around 1am, guests were escorted off the premises. We got very little sleep the two nights we were there. I decided it was just best to leave and skip on our third night's booked stay. Think next time we'll just try renting a house."

"It’s a really run down property. Access staircase is rickety and broken with a dirty rug over it and is a trip hazard. The room configuration is strange. The runner inside the room is filthy. The best thing about the property is the caretaker (Jennifer I think?) who is superb! That said, the view is fabulous, the bed was comfortable, and having a fridge and microwave made it nice. Lots of DVDs were available, and the breakfast was adequate. "

"You absolutely need to book this cozy home as soon as you can. We fell in love with it the moment we arrived. The lake view is truly stunning and Marilyn was the perfect host. It was such a relief to see that the photos accurately reflected every part of the home. Everything was spotless (a rare treat!), the kitchen was fully stocked and the neighborhood was peaceful and welcoming. My husband and I loved walking the lake trail and trying the dinner spots Marilyn recommended. We did not mind cooking breakfast each morning with the stunning lake view from the kitchen. It was the perfect getaway for relaxing, unwinding and reconnecting with nature.We loved it so much that we already booked a return trip for the summer. "So cozy, my grandkids are literally getting older we look back at photos of our stays. 2 of them even learned how to swim this year in the indoor pool. My family has made so many wonderful memories here. Every year i wait to hear my grandkids say “grandma when are we going to the mountain house again!?” Mike the host is also amazing, very responsive and professional. Best vacation chateau around. "

"LouAnne is a wonderful host. Despite the bad weather leading up to our stay, she did her best to try and accommodate for our group. Great communication and gracious. The house itself will be a memorable one for our youth group. We had Bible studies, ate together, and made fun new memories. It was more than enough space for 13 of us. Just be mindful to not book right after a snowstorm! The snow and ice made travel to the front of the house more difficult but the back was accessible to us, thanks again to LouAnne and her son. Highly recommended this house and host for a big group and close access to Snow Valley!"
