The hotel was lovely and clean but rooms could do with a make over.
Breakfast let it down a bit
The breakfast room was a bit dull and the breakfast was very basic.
Ideal for if you’re going to a concert and just need to put your head down for the night.
The rooms were very tired and not very clean. The beds were comfortable abd breakfast was ok

The welcome was perfect from very friendly staff and I slep well and is in a good location. The hotel looks as if its been a long time since any attention was given to the decor, our room looked very tired and the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. The continental breakfast was meagre to say the least, cereal, toast, old fruit, and amused many other guests. Not good value for the money.
Firstly I need to say that the staff at this property were brilliant- friendly, polite and very helpful. Breakfast was basic but fine. The location for Halifax was great- just a very brief walk from the Piece Hall, with the bus station and cheap parking on the doorstep. But my room was in a poor state, with a stained carpet, pen graffiti on the wooden furniture, and electric cables pinned down with gaffer tape. The electronic door handle was loose which gave me no confidence that the room was locked or secure. I paid very little so it was fine for the price, but do not expect luxury!
Acceptable for the location to the piece hall but the place needs a full revamp. Our room was tatty disgusting stains on the bedding. Carpet was wet. Tv remote didn’t work hardly any plug sockets. Breakfast was sad no tea coffee just juice. Cereals and crossaints and toast. Staff were friendly check in was very easy. Wouldn’t return unless completely redone.
Parking next door was £2.50 for 24 hours which is very reasonable.
The guy that worked on the front desk was excellent at customer service. He was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs a lot of TLC. The room was grim. The furniture was old. The bathroom stank of cigarettes. And the bed was so grim I didn’t take my clothes off and slept on top of my other t shirts laid out on the bed. Yes, I know it was cheap. But it was also the most depressing hotel I’ve stayed in. Gave customer service 5 stars. 1 or 2 stars for everything else.
Upon first entering the reception is nice. It looks to have had a recent refurb. The receptionist was welcoming. We were given a room on the third floor, there is a lift. The layout of the hotel was like a rabbit warren a confusing at times, but we found our way around. Upon entering the room it had a lounge, bathroom and bedroom, which would have been lovely. Unfortunately it was very tired and in need of a good clean, paint and new carpets / curtains.
The hotel looks to be part way through a refurbishment, which when completed could be lovely. It is such a shame as the location is fabulous for Piece Hall and town.
Breakfast was a slice of bread / toast with a slice of ham, cheese or honey. There was also a hot water boiler for tea / coffee. Really not enticing and due to the room and breakfast we chose to leave earlier than planned.
There is a car park next door, which if staying for a while would be expensive, but you can get a YPS space just up the road, a short walk away, for a fraction of the price.
Great place, perfect for the price and location. Issues reported with linen and blocked bathroom waste was resolved swiftly. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Clean room and bathroom. Furniture was a bit dated but still acceptable. Only 1 power outlet. Friendly staff.
We stayed in room 31 on the 5th floor.. no hot water at 5pm for a shower or a bath, cracked mirror in the bath room, severe smell of sewage in the bathroom .. burn marks on the sofa and curtains stains on the walls and floors .. couldn’t wait to get away spoilt a weekend to a gig locally.. guests leaving from room 29 also stated the safe needless to say will never return and expect some recompense from Expedia also for even having this on there site
Absolutely awful place. Matress old and no springs, carpet filthy, pillows manky. Paint peeling off walls and furniture. Didnt stay. Manager issued refund

With the hotel only being open for a week things were a bit haphazard, TV was broken,(was replaced) shower tray wouldn’t empty, single sink tap stuck on boiling some dubious people wondering around and on going out we where on the 5th floor and when lift door opened the check in girl had a big Bearly Yorkshire Police officer each side of her.
