Barn conversion close to pretty market towns of Halesworth and Southwold, tennis

The Cow Shed was originally my father's milking parlour converted in the 90's, recently upgraded. A cosy mix of modern and antique furniture with two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs and spacious sitting room and kitchen above looking across rolling countryside. Set at the front of the farmhouse, the gardens and aging tennis court are available for guests to enjoy. Well behaved canine friends are welcome and even the opportunity to bring your own horse! A King size bed in the double room and plenty of room for a third single bed in the twin room if required.

Family break in Suffolk
We had a great time in Chediston at Sarah’s converted barn. Lots of space to relax and entertain the baby! Great attentive hosts that made us feel really welcome. Hope to visit again 😊

Fabulous!
We had a fabulous long weekend in the barn. Sarah couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming and our 9 & 11 year old girls were thrilled to be introduced to her horses! The barn was spotless, comfortable & well equipped - just a lovely & relaxing place to be. The farm was perfect for off-road, peaceful dog walks. The beaches at Dunwich, Walberswick & Southwold were all dog friendly & within a half hour drive. We wouldn’t hesitate to book the barn again, it was a great find!

Peace and quiet
Beautifully converted barn on the edge of a farm which at this time of year had no agricultural activity so the whole place was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Shared the area with a couple of lovely horses with the owner popping round every day to feed them. A few minutes drive to Halesworth and 20. Mins to Southwold and the coast line to the south of it . A lovely area to spend a week in late summer.

What an absolute find!
It’s fair to say we needed to find somewhere to relax and regenerate and so our expectations for The Cow Shed were quite high. Thankfully, despite staying for only 5 days, this wonderful home relaxed us hugely due to the peaceful location and beautiful walks (all off-road from the front door) and surrounding countryside. Southwold and the stunning Suffolk coastline is only a 25 minute drive and well worth a visit, having a beach hut for the day was the icing on the cake. The property was immaculate and extremely well appointed, laid out to make the most of the location. The interior decoration was gorgeous and fitted perfectly to fit into the history and character of the farm. Whilst we were out and about each day we equally could have happily just sat for days reading books and relaxing with the dogs. Maybe next time we visit, and we most certainly will, then that’s exactly what we will do. Overall, a gorgeous peaceful property which my family and dogs loved, a truly wonderful find!

Super spot!
We’ve had a fabulous holiday in Suffolk, staying at the Cow Shed.....absolutely gorgeous. Sarah, the host, couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming.....fresh cakes and bubbly on arrival....just topped it off! The children have loved playing tennis and enjoyed the outdoor space....our 10 year old didn’t want to leave!

What a fantastic week we had
Our stay at The Cow Shed was perfect to unwind and destress. The interior of the shed, which was recently refurbished was beautifully classic, and in sympathy with the structure of this facinating heritage building. We enjoyed peaceful walks in the serene fields around the farm and relaxed in the garden during the evenings watching the sunset and amazing Suffolk skies. Sarah the host was very friendly and made us feel very welcome offering lots of local advice of where to visit and eat etc. We have come home with heavy hearts having fallen in love with the farm and the area. We would recommend it highly and definitely go back again and again. Thank you Sarah.
