"You don't absolutely need a car for Howzit Maui, but it's really helpful. The hostel arranges daily tours and activities, but if you don't make it onto the sign up sheet, then you need to make your own arrangements. There are plenty of people who have car rentals, so making alternate plans isn't a big deal. There are six shared bathrooms (with showers) and a seventh just for women. "I love the fact that it was 3 minutes away walking from Napili beach . Close to Bobs rentals and close to groceries stores. The one bedroom suite was really nice!! The only thing I did not like that the roosters would start singing like at 330am so I had to turn on a video with raining sounds that way I could hear the singing of the roosters and it did help . "

"This is a great cozy property right on the Napili beach. You can literally throw a rock in the ocean from the balcony. Ocean is so close that you will not miss a swimming pool. The services were excellent. Rooms were very clean. All amenities were provided in the room to cook if you prefer to do so. I'll happily go back again. "
