Great Stay
We had a great stay. Wanted 2 king beds and it was nice that everyone had their own bathroom. Plenty of counter space for all the beach snacks. Had to call owner about the fridge. It didn’t cook very well the first day but finally cooled off. Owner was very helpful and quick to answer questions.

Great location. Beautifully decorated with great view of beach and big TVs
My wife and I stayed at this location with our two youngest sons and their girlfriends. Kitchen was very nice with the huge countertops and plenty of space. The decor was tastefully done and felt like the beach. The King master bed was a bit too mushy for our taste so we didn't sleep well, but everything else made up for it. There was plenty of seating and lounging on the private balcony with a fantastic view. There were beach chairs and a couple of umbrellas in the storage area which were very helpful. Don't cook anything in the toaster above 3 or it will burn and set off the smoke alarm. Oops. We had an issue with one of the TVs accessing Netflix which was apparently essential for our kids but someone brought a new remote the next day which solved it. The shower water pressure was pretty weak and took a long time to heat up, which is typical for a condo that high. Overall we would highly recommend.

Family Summer Beach Vacation
Enjoy every minute of our stay. The kids were entertained the whole time there. We as adults had something to do the whole time. The staff were friendly. It’s a beautiful place. We will be back again. Thank you for a great vacation.

Loved the condo. The new renovations were excellent. It appears that there is or was a water leak in one of the bathrooms behind the toilet that needs attention. Mold was present on the Sheetrock.

Overall good
Even though there was construction going on, everything ran smoothly and the property is beautiful. Our condo was pretty, the beds were fantastic and any problems that arose were promptly attended to, however, the resort was too far removed from restaurants, shopping, etc.

Everything was perfect. They have done updates such as all new cookware, brand new huge tv and new paint. It was amazing for our family with 2 young kids. All the beds were very comfortable. Don’t hesitate to book this condo.

Family vacation
We had three couples on our vacation. There was plenty of space for all of us we weren’t crowded together at all. The condo was very clean and up to date. It also comes with a great view and the property management is great and very easy to deal with. All in all we had a very relaxing and great vacation.

We would NOT recommend this condo, especially considering how many other, better options are available at The Beach Club. Upon check in there was trash outside the door, sand on the floors, sand and dirt in the tubs, black hairs in the mildewy shower, cigarette butts on the balcony, and dirty dishes in the cabinets... and aside from being dirty the condo is in dire need of repairs and upgrades... broken closet door, broken lamp shades, peeling cabinets that are literally taped together, rugs so filthy they need to be thrown away, and TVs so old and small the picture is distorted, the master bed must be 20 years old (gross) and sinks to the floor and squeaks when you sit on it... add to that terrible wi-fi that didn’t work at all the first day and then ran at 0.54 mbps the rest of the trip and so much for checking email, working or steaming a movie. I can ignore the old, worn furniture and decor... but if you’re going to rent out your condo at least make necessary repairs and keep it clean.... we’ve stayed in a lot of condo rentals and I’ve never written a negative review like this before but this is the worst we’ve seen for sure... steer clear and rent elsewhere. I would include pictures of all these things if there was a way to upload them so you can see for yourselves.

Since this guest departed...the housekeeper has been replaced, the furniture and floors were steam cleaned, the entire condo has been painted. All mattresses are now new! The king bed frame was replaced. The kitchen items have been upgraded. New pictures will be posted soon, when the new dining room table & drapes arrive! This is a great condo! I expect to receive new reviews soon from the most recent guest who just loved the condo and their stay!

Great location on the beach
I really enjoyed the beach club resort and the amenities available. This location is about 25 minutes way from any real grocery store, restaurant, etc but it was nice to be a little secluded and have most of what we would need on-site. This actual condo was nice minus a few complaints which have been told to the realtor. My group of 8 came in 4 cars - so the availability of parking was a major plus for us. Would stay at this resort again for sure.

Beautiful place with lots of room
Did a girls trip and had lots of room for all of us to have our space, the condo was nicely decorated and well kept. Pool and beach were easily accessible and the area all around the condo building was nicely kept and was a very safe area.

Cleaning crew could have done a better job. Some kind of issue with the dishwasher, the washing machine, and the frig icemaker. None of those three things seemed to work as well as they should have. I suspect it was a water supply issue, although, the kitchen faucets were fine. Not sure what was going on. Otherwise, a very nice stay. Great amenities, easy beach access. Family would love to come back next year.

Condo was pretty. Beaches were crowded, commercial chairs take up the bulk of the space each day. Washer leaked, let maintenance know first day. He said he would come but never did. Had to use the scarce amount of towels we had to continually sop up leak. Floors were constantly wet. Water damage to cabinets by washer suggests the leak isn’t new.

Great place. Only issue is the patio furniture and layout did not match the pictures when booking. What was there was not as nice. Otherwise, local and condo interior were terrific!

Hello Tracy, I hope you will return and see that we have recovered from Spring Break and maintenance has been all through the condo and all is repaired or replaced as needed! I have full time maintenance staff and I promise I will respond to any issues reported to me by a guest. This is a great condo with 2 King Beds, a Queen and a sofa sleeper, a very comfortable recliner and a HUGE balcony with a fantastic view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico and lots of amenities!

We arrived on a Sunday, check in was at 4. When we arrived, our condo was clean... however, there where some spots missed, Pam was so kind, and even offered to have housekeeping come that same day to address it . It was such a nice area for relaxing vacay... I hope to come back again!!!

Perfect spring break getaway!
We stayed as a family of five at the A1708 Beach Club condo for 6 nights over spring break. It was very spacious, open, and clean. The views of the ocean from the living room and master bedroom were amazing! The kitchen was fully stocked and we had plenty of bathroom towels. The owners were very easy to talk to and checked in to make sure that we were enjoying our stay. There were pool floats in the closet on the balcony which we used every day. It was very easy to walk to the pool (just outside the door) and the ocean (just down the ramp). We hope to return to Gulf Shores in the future and we will definitely plan to stay here again!

It was a wonderful place to stay with so much to do!!
Me and my family visited for a week and it was fantastical. There was so much to do on the grounds between the food trucks to the beach. The drive to get there was a bit far out there but we really didnt need to leave. The condo itself was clean and wonderfully spacious. We would all come back for round two!!!

Beautiful condo and beach
The condo was well stocked and clean. Location is okay. It was farther from all the shopping and restaurants than we had anticipated but overall a nice place with a beautiful beach. The fee to use the club amenities was $46/day for everyone in the condo which we felt was too expensive for what is offered. Our biggest complaint are the chairs and umbrellas at the beach. They have them lined almost the whole span of the beach in front of the building and you can't put your personal chairs in front of them. They should leave more space for the guests not wanting to pay $45/day for beach chairs! As far as the condo goes, it did have everything we needed for our vacation and booking and communication was great.

I'm so glad you were pleased with Avalon 1708! The Beach Club is perfect for Guest who want to be away from busy streets and parties. Starting Spring 2017, The Club Management will re-arrange their chairs on the beach so more guest may bring their personal chairs and sit front row, too. However, some guest really love the loungers and don't like hauling all the gear. The daily price for 2 loungers & an umbrella per day is $45.00, available seasonally. For approx $46 per day, you and your entire party, up to 8 people, can enjoy the club's private amenities. This is $5.75 per person for access to: A state of the art fitness center & indoor pool, both have a Gulf View & complimentary towels, seasonally heated outdoor pool and hot tub, a game room that does not require any coins, luxury locker rooms with a sauna, and access to seven Rubicon clay tennis courts!

Beautiful condo, perfect location
First and foremost, the property owner went out of her way to get everything taken care of quickly for us - excellent service. The condo was very clean and in perfect condition, and had everything we needed. Beach Club had nice grounds with ample amenities and a nice, clean beach and pools. The location was convenient to the Dauphin Island ferry as well. I'll use this property owner in the future when possible.
