Cute and Nice.......But
This property is nice, cute, well maintained and close to the beautiful California Coast. We enjoyed the hot tub and the afternoon sun with ocean breezes. We were hoping to be able to prepare dinner during our stay, but it was not easy with no oven or BBQ. We were able to improvise, but with limited local dinning opportunities fixing our own meals was a challenge. Fortunately for us we found a dinning gem at Anchor Bay Thai. Awesome food and service. The only other challenge was the water pressure in our unit, it was poor to start, but when others were staying in the adjoining units it was worse. Overall, it was a nice unit, but it could be better.

Very Romantic Outside vs Not so Romantic Inside
The owners of this small studio space are caretakers of a beautiful piece of land. I happily did my morning yoga on the deck with the sounds of the creek below, the birds chirping through the tall redwoods and sea lions barking in the distance. My partner loved soaking in the hot tub which was even closer to the creek. We highly recommend you take advantage of the owners offer to walk around their property! This land is more than romantic it is full of forest magic and history. However, that didn't translate to the inside of the unit. The inside was cute and cozy but it ignored all practical needs so it couldn't be romantic. None of the furniture in the sleeping space had drawers and the tables were too tiny to place anything on top. The bathroom had only one tiny shelf to place stuff on top of. Definitely not enough room for a man's needs let alone a woman trying to be romantic. But the worst part of the inside was the amount of noise you heard from the neighboring unit. I think we were "blessed" to have night owls staying next door. When they walked at night it made the place shake and you could hear them talking. This woke us up frequently throughout the night, they never seemed to fall asleep until 4 AM. Not very romantic or conducive to a good night's sleep. Having said that we truly loved the land and could see ourselves staying on this property again but in one of the other two units. Look at the pictures and you can find the other two units.

Nice stay
Place was nice and clean, but Wifi was spotty. Took a while for the Lock combination to work, and it worked only the first time. We had to use the key all the other times. Overall, we had a very nice stay. (Never communicated with property manager, but no N/A option, so just put 3 stars…)

Clean comfortable and everything we needed
My friend and I stayed here while we did some hiking and explored the Northern California coast. It was all we needed- clean comfortable and easy, and the hot tub was a special extra treat!

Lovely stay
The property was as advertised, and the owner Kim met us as we drove in. She gave us a delightful and thorough review of everything. It took a long time for the room to heat up, but then it was quite toasty. The back of the property is a redwood grove where the hot tub is nestled by a creek. It has a long deck spanning the building overlooking the creek. Just gorgeous. Love the location just north of Anchor Bay. For some reason, though I tried and tried, we were never able to jump on the wifi. Also, more explicit instructions on how to use the TV would have been helpful. There are instructions about the remote but we were unable to access any of the channels or Netflix, only the music. All in all we loved it!

Romantic quiet time for two
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We cooked up a simple dinner on Friday night, shared a nice bottle of wine and got toasty in the hot tub. As others have noted, the property's hot tub is shared by 3 units. But we had the hot tub all to ourselves as none of the other units were booked. The area has a variety of things to do and see which we took full advantage of. Bowling Ball Beach and Pt. Arena are just up the road. On our drive to the quaint town of Mendocino we got to enjoy the ocean's storm waves before the main storm dumped many inches of rain in Northern California. As we were leaving. Sunday morning, the rain really started coming down and there were muddy waterfalls everywhere. We were OK with the weather but got stopped on our trek going south on highway 1 as a big tree had fallen across the road blocking all traffic just north of Ft. Ross. We had to go back about 15 miles and eventually found our way back to the Bay Area. We had a great adventure and literally just went with the flow. If you want a getaway with your significant other, this is the place!
