"The room itself was very nice and the facility was very nice. However, the parking they put me in was off site. They later offered onsite, but it would cost more money. The hot tub didnt work. I had to find someone to fix it. The first time I tried the phone it didn't work. A couple hours later, I picked it up and it was suddenly working. I tried the tv, and all the channels that I wanted to watch had no signal. They sent someone up, but I'm pretty sure they knocked on the wrong door because they called me and said they came and knocked on the door and no one answered. Nobody knocked on my door. They came up again I had no trouble hearing the knock. Unfortunately, they had to just remove the channels that had no signal. The bathtub is really nice, but it's very high. The only bar to hold on to is the one that leads from the tub faucet to the shower head. I had to use that, but who knows if it's rated for holding someone's weight like that. I would highly recommend that they put in a bar to help people get into the bathtub better. Finally, the bed was really hard and I was in some pain during the night because of it."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel! The hotel was extremely clean and the rooms were large and well designed. The amenities were top notch. The front desk staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. You can walk to any of the top attractions from this hotel and we put on 9 miles a day walking the city. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the Windy City!"

Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls

"The room was clean enough to stay with a good price and having a good view. The river view means the room is between floor 4 to 7 and you can see the falls behind the trees. The fall view means the room is between 7 to 18 which gives you a clear view of both niagara falls and American falls. Floor 14 has a few benches infront of the windows that provide a great view but unfortunately only 2 are clean enough to be good for a photo. There is a 30 min walk from a very steep road to the fall or a $4 ride on a moving cabin that works from 8 am to 11 pm up and down the hill. It worth it because the parking fee down the hill is $35 per entry."

"The bedding and shower looked clean although the room did not look vacuumed. Small note that there is no Microwave in the room, the pool needs a reservation to use and the splash pad (kids pool) is only open/available on weekends. They did allow us to check in 2 hours early which was appreciated. We called prior to get mine and another guests rooms on the same floor and we ended up 6 floors apart which was unfortunate but was manageable since we were both close to the elevator on our floors. The view was worth it for sure 👍"
