"Polite Staff. Clean Hotel"

"The beach view was idyllic and the lagoon view was equally serene. The staff was friendly and attentive. The suite was very clean and well maintained as was the indoor pool and spa. The only issue we encountered was a very leaky faucet in the kitchenette - but everything else was excellent."

"The deadbolt latch fell off when upon first entering the room. Room is decaying. Mold in closet. Jetted tub is in pretty bad condition. It looks like this place may have been renovated 20 yrs ago but never looked at since. Water damage on ceiling, tiles are cracked and moving near the bed. Control panel on tub is torn up and broken. There is just a dial on the wall that you turn on the bubbles. Drain plug doesn’t work so they have a rubber disc that was probably made in the late 50s. It was probably white at one time but everything has a yellow hue to it. Very little soap or personal hygiene products. Staff was nice, I mentioned it to the front desk and they apologized but I will be asking for a refund because we obviously had to get a different hotel room and adjust our plans at the last second. "

"We had a great 3 night stay at the Wyndham. We attended a gala while we were there, as well. Staff were all very friendly, and it was obvious the housekeeping staff was going above and beyond in cleaning. We actually mentioned it as we were walking down the hall because they were scrubbing floors in the rooms and everything smelled so fresh and clean. They made sure we had plenty of bottled water and coffee and towels. The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly, interactive, and attentive. The food was great, too! The only thing we all wished for was that there was a coffee bar or something in the morning to pick up quick bites and lattes."

"The room was not in a good condition. There are blood stains on the wall and other non-removable stains on the bedside table and on the edge of the bathtub. There was a live cockroach crawling by the water faucet. The room has strong cigarette smell and was not sound proof. The area is safe and the parking is good. "

"For the price, the rooms and properties were quite worn, beds uncomfortable, water rusty on check in - and the walls were very thin. Location is excellent - Walking distance from all the things you'd want to see. It's Probably a great spot if you're planning to go to the bars and need a place to pass out after a few, but not a place if you want to relax. On the plus side they offered to move us to a quieter room, but a hotel that costs over $400 a night should be clean, new, quiet, and relaxing. "

"Very reasonable price. Near downtown Newport vs. other Middletown hotels. Breakfast sandwiches were just adequate. Microwaved food is rarely good."
