Golden Acres Mountain Lodge -Loft

Our place is close to Kicking Horse ski resort, town of Golden, golf courses, hiking, nature trails, white water rafting, snow mobile trails, and cross country ski trails. You’ll love our place because the property is surrounded by crown land which makes for a quiet and secluded visit. Looking out the windows you see mountain ranges, Columbia river valley, and the forest. The property contains luxury log buildings full of unique one of a kind log home features.
The guest house loft is a self catered suite. Has a full kitchen complete with dishwasher, stove, fridge with ice maker, and microwave. Has a private entrance and includes 4 piece bathroom.
The deck has a BBQ and patio set with umbrella. There is also a fire pit and hot tub close to the deck. There is an outdoor sauna located in the forest.

Mountain Getaway
Cathy and Bruce’s guest suite was exactly what we were looking for. Remote enough to be able to enjoy the hot tub with full privacy, but close enough to Golden that we had easy access to stores and restaurants. Cathy and Bruce were both super personable too. Cathy had amazing recommendations for restaurants and local attractions and Bruce was a fount of knowledge about the area and local regulations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend.

The stay was very comfortable, the loft was smaller than expected but quaint. Check in was a bit rough, along with the owners driveway and parking extremely icy and narrow. No labels on toiletries, kitchen (pots/ pans/ knives/ bowls) and welcome book could use a refresh.

Can’t say enough good things.
From the moment we got there to the moment we left, Bruce and Cathy made us feel right at home. Made sure everything was great at all times. The loft was beautiful and had everything someone would want. Can’t wait to come again.

Anniversary surprise
I was taken to a most wonderful place near Golden, British Columbia for our ten year anniversary. We had a fabulous weekend thanks to the accommodations we had. The hosts are friendly and took the time to show us around their beautiful property. Golden mountain lodge has a sauna, hottub, firepit, and BBQ outside. Inside the suite was a perfectly setup one bedroom suite. Full kitchen with new appliances great you upon arrival. Large comfortable wing back chairs and a wood burning fireplace make the living room very cozy. Spacious bathroom with a deep tub and soft towels with a heated floor for extra comfort. The bedroom has a very plush bed and a giant window facing the hillside. I kept hoping we would see animals out that window. The place was spotless when we arrived and we tried to keep it that way with some elements of safety like new smoke detectors and fire extinguisher. The hosts excelled at the little things. The place was quintessential Canadiana right down to the cutlery choices. There was a box of charging cords and bear spray just in case one needs it for a hike in bear county. It It was a great surprise and it lead to a fabulous ten year anniversary. We utilized the BBQ, the hottub, and the fire pit. We stared in awe as the sunset set over the mountains as we sat by the fire on hand made furniture. We will be back again
