"We had a lovely time at Hemlock Haven! We spent several days mining for Herkimer diamonds and the cabin was an excellent place to relax after spending the day outside. It is fairly quiet, cozy, and pretty easy to drive to. The hosts had a few extra touches to make it even more welcoming. Definitely recommend for a little R&R!!"

"We had such a great stay at this property. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and it rained the whole time we were visiting. At the end of a long day of sight-seeing it was so nice to come home to a cozy spot. Everything about the listing is spot on, so many little comforts provided by the hosts - coffee pods, linens, towels, welcome bottle of local sparkling water. Not a huge deal but definitely something I noticed upon arrival. The bath towels provided by the house were bleach stained. No AC in bedrooms. Plant overgrowth on back deck. "1890s Elegant mansion with great bones and almost completely restored. Pool would be big plus in summer and game room definitely a plus, though some equipment needed repair. Great location for our short family reunion of 6 adults and 3 tweens. Would worry about kids less than 10 or limited mobility folks as stairs quite tight or spirally and high.
