Escape to a tranquil 8 acre retreat which features a unique, one-of-a-kind barn cabin in Glencoe, Ky. With 2 queen beds in 2 bedrooms (each with an adjoining bathroom), guests can unwind in comfort. Relax in the cozy living room and watch a movie or get some work done in the office space with 2 futons. Enjoy all that nature has to offer when your stay at our place. Build a fire in the fire pit and melt s'mores. Walk the hiking path mowed into the back acreage. Pay a visit to the Glencoe General store and taste the delectable wood fired pizza or deli sandwiches made with homemade bread.

Peacefully relaxing

We had such a relaxing week! This place was so peaceful and quiet, and centrally located to all the attractions we wanted to visit. The beds were comfortable, the living area was spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped. The owner was very nice and quick to respond when we had questions. We have recommended this place to several people already and would love to go back some day.

Nice property, good amenities. Interior doors were difficult to have stay closed, exterior door lock wasn’t working properly, and it wasn’t quite ready at our scheduled check-in time, but these were only slight inconveniences.

Perfect Farm Getaway

We had the best time at this little farm for our visit to the Ark. The view was beautiful and the amenities were excellent. The kids could run off energy in the field and the adults could sit on the back deck. The property is so unique and the host made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice Place

Nice and quiet place to spend the holidays. Kids had a blast outside. Great mid-- place to stay if wanting to go to the Ark and Creation Museum.

Winter wonderland

Family Ark Encounter Trip

My husband found this gem of a VRBO, I instantly fell in love when we walked inside. This rental was everything we could have asked for and more. The location was scenic and secluded, especially for those that enjoy seeing wildlife like us. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The uniqueness of the lighting fixtures throughout and the bathrooms are absolutely amazing, truly unexpected but what a nice touch. We will highly recommend this place to family and friends. OutStanding Place!

Quiet country location. Great country side view all around. Great rear deck. Awesome interior! Very comfortable beds. Living room with tall open beam ceiling is fantastic! Country style touches all around. Our parents didnt want to leave. Dollar store nearby. Glencoe General store is amazing place for pizza & sandwiches and more. Manager is great to work with. The home was neat and clean. The snacks were a warm welcome. Pet friendly. One rule is that the pet has to be in a cage if left alone in the home. It would have been nice to know this before hand though it did not pose a problem for us. The view is great. We noticed there were blinds on all windows except the back doors. WOW! WOW!! WOW!!!

Breathtaking! Beautiful! Amazing! I stayed 2 nights through Halloween with just myself and my doggy watching scary movies. The third night I did have company and everything was just amazing! The views, cleanliness, the lighting in the main room to mimic stars, the absolute kindness of the host, everything was wonderful! I had actually gotten into an accident the day of my arrival and due to me using my stepmoms car my arrival was late, after 9pm. She was kind and understanding and I appreciated that fully. I’m already looking at other dates to book. What a beautiful getaway! Thank you Kathy!

Cozy cabin

We just stayed there for 4 nights. Unfortunately it rained the whole time so we weren't able to enjoy the fire pit/deck. We checked in two hours late and the cabin still wasn't ready so that was a bit of bummer. The owner was very sweet and explained she had something pop up out of her control. House was clean and we all had room so we were able to spread out. All the furniture was in good working order. Beds were in the hard side so we ended up buying a foam topper and that helped a lot. Kitchen was well equipped with a coffee maker/Keurig. That was a lovely surprise! The host left us with eough soaps, paper towels, toilet paper and even some extras like k cups, creamer, popsicles for the kids and feminine hygiene items. Definitely appreciate that we had everything we needed for our stay and didn't have to buy consumables! Internet was slow but the TV worked fine. There were lots of family games to do together. The horses at the end of the property are sweet. The roads to the cabin are tight and curvy so just be careful when driving to/from but we felt it was worth it to be in a quiet neighborhood but still close to everything. The barn doors make the rooms a little awkward, especially the bedroom/bathroom downstairs. The bedroom door needs a latch. Finally, the stairs going upstairs are not built properly and feel odd walking up. We loved that all the room had their own temperature control.
