"This hotel was amazing. Everything was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, and I was overall very impressed. The View restaurant was such a fun concept, wonderful views with good food and drinks! Great location as well. "

"The St. James was a great way to experience New York; nestled in to the middle of downtown for easy access to many places. The old interior was iconic and fun, especially riding the tiny elevator. The staff was friendly the room was great in every way except not having a fridge or microwave. I would definitely return here!"

"​The facility is clean, and the staff is both professional and friendly. It offers great value for the price, though it is a "micro-hotel," so be prepared for compact rooms. While the elevators are generally quick, expect a 5–10 minute wait during the 8:00–10:00 AM rush. The free breakfast is a nice perk, though fairly standard, and the walls are quite thin. Overall, a great location if you don't mind the smaller footprint."

"I arrived early after a rough travel day and the front desk found me a room early so I could rest. The view was fantastic with the Chrysler Building visible giving me great pictures each night. The gym had everything I needed from a squat rack to free weights. My only wish is that there would have been a great restaurant in the building but it’s NYC and I was surrounded by great food options so it wasn’t a big deal. I will probably always come back to this hotel in the future as the service was top notch."
