"I was sent an email by someone named Edith saying she was the host and to reach out if there were problems We arrived and the thermostat was not working When I called I received a call center and not Edith I had to go and buy batteries myself and repair it myself It was late and cold I tried twice to get the problem fixed I only heard from "Edith" the next morning who informed me that she only works 8-4 Make sure your problems are 8-4 Now with that said The apartment was well kept and centrally located for us to walk about our hometown "

"Lovely little hotel, looking out to field of animals, so peaceful, comfortable beds, gave a good night sleep. Staff are so lovely in the restraunt, made to feel so welcome and happy faces. "

"Plenty of parking at front of hotel. Really helpful staff especially Jepson who sorted a ground floor room for me. Nice spacious clean comfortable room. Breakfast is 7-10 am so plenty of time to get served . Lovely evening meal and quite reasonably priced for a nice hotel. I asked for chips instead of rice but was later advised rice was an integral part of the dish. When the dish came i was given an extra small portion of chips😁 its the little things that make a difference. Quiet at nights no problems getting sleep"

"This was a gem of a find just steps from the firth at Irvine. Lots of little shops nearby and a huge shopping mall just a 10 minute walk away. "

"I booked a room in the guest house but got a message on the day re: mix-up with another guest, so I'd been "upgraded" to self-contained studio instead. Very cold November weather out, but when I arrived c7pm no heating on, roller blinds up (no curtains) - very cold room/studio, no heater in shower room. Very small too. "Dog friendly" therefore minimal soft furnishings - bare laminate floors, wipe-clean furniture. Felt v clinical and cold (literally). Kept coat and boots on for 90mins waiting for air to warm a little. Bathroom un-useable (too chilly). Disappointed for the price - wasn't cheap. Alerted host and asked for extra heater - no reply. Will avoid remote hosts in future and be suspicious of "upgrades"!"
