"Overall a really disappointing experience. This was supposed to be special, but ended up being the worst two nights of our 12 day trip. First, our reservation was wrong. The hotel blamed the website? We could not get the two queen beds nor mountain view that was the literal draw for us. We were offered a room in the lodge but would still be one king so no point, declined it. Went back to the cottage and found the carpet was ripped and stained and it looked like mold around the window frame. In mountain lion territory, we had two chairs in a tree filled and dark dirt patch as our “mountain view”. The following day we were offered a room in the lodge with 2 queen beds but by the time we got back from the park it was too late to pack up and move, especially since we were leaving early the next morning. Also the hot tub in cottage area was unusable and laundry room was dingy.
The staff was accommodating but I was upset they couldn’t remedy the mistake. They didn’t offer a reduced rate or even a dining credit.
The food, though, was great and the overall condition of the lodge itself was nice. I would not ever come back though. "
"The location was perfect with plenty of pools and hot tubs to relax in after a long day at the park. Unless I was planning to camp in the park, 10 out of 10 times I would stay here."
"The room and exterior in front of the room were not as clean as we would like. It looked like the photos. Although there were no amenities on site, it was jointly owned with a nearby hotel and guests could use the pool and facilities there. It was the only motel unit, and was close to the road, so after it rained, the cars were loud. Definitely a close location for visiting Yosemite. "
"The property is excellent and staff is very useful. The only small complain I have is about quality of the mattress. They they can definitely use a better quality that is more comfortable and bit firm. The other thing they can improve is by making sure that all board games in the room are complete. We had scrabble without scrabble board. This is not really comment for the property, but the road that leads to the lodge is not very nice. It’s very rough ."
