"Staff were fantastic and very friendly, especially the waiter in the bar. Hotel is lovely and a nice touch having mulled wine and mince pies out for guests. Room was big and clean. Bed was very comfortable as were pillows and duvets. Nice touch having the leisure facilities although pool could have been slightly hotter. Perfect location for princes street, Christmas markets, George street and st James quarter. Fantastic stay and can’t wait to return. "

"Melville Castle was such a highlight on our trip. The room was gorgeous, the bed was comfy, and shower was incredible. The entire castle was decorated for the holidays and it was so cozy and charming. We ate dinner in the restaurant and HIGHLY recommend. We will absolutely be back"

"Absolutely lovely cottage, even more space than expected and with lots of thoughtful touches to add to our stay. We had a car and found it quick and easy to drive to the park-n-ride to catch the train, or to drive directly into the city. The area around the cottage is beautiful and very nice for a short walk. Thank you for the warm welcome, and we will 100% book this cottage again for future trips!"
