"Dayton House exceeded our expectations. Our room had recently been updated with new paint, furniture, and bathroom fixtures. I expected a rundown place, but they have updated most everything to make it very nice for the price. Dayton was clean and the pools were clean and warm. The coating of the bottom of the pools were sand color so first glance they looked dirty. They were clean. The hallway color next to the elevators was painted dark grey that made the hallways dark and cheap looking. I highly recommend to the management to paint that area a lighter color. Our particular room was on 3rd floor directly above the Yella Umbrella pool bar. It was pretty loud from people and music till about 11PM. 3rd floor is even with the top of the palm trees so if you pay more for a balcony ocean view, pick a 4th floor or higher room if you can. Breakfast was off sight, but it was excellent, and the staff was friendly. We would definitely stay there again but request a 4th floor or higher room."

"Unfortunately, we came during motorcycle week and were unaware events were going on. So all you heard was motors running all damn day long, driving up and down the streets. The room was updated and recently renovated so that was a nice thing to see. We only stayed for one night. But it would have been nice to stay on a higher level. Also, upon booking the room through Expedia, the room description originally stated we get an Ocean view. We ended up on the first floor looking out to the parking lot. Also, I didn't like the fact that the cleaners were just sitting outside of the rooms. I guess it was the end of their shift. I did not appreciate that at all. They need to wait somewhere else. Guests are trying to check into their rooms and move their things, they don't need a crowd of people just standing outside their door. I would stay here again, but on a higher floor level with an ocean view. But it wasn't worth $200 a night for what we got. "
