"I submitted a complaint on Thursday regarding my stay on Wedn 13th May, no reply as yet. Stayed 3 times so far & had to be moved 3 times. 1st time wind blowing through the old window's. 2nd time no privacy curtain in bathroom, there was a rail for 1. Wedn took the biscuit though. Won't go into it until I receive a reply, suffice to say the room was VERY shabby. No TV & no heat."

"Poplar Farm retreat was a fantastic property and well appointed. I have given an excellent rating but a couple of points that can be improved upon which I raised with Passthekeys agent. No handtowel provided in the WC. Mini toiletries should have been provided but these were missing. Agent said that someone would come with these items but noone dropped anything off. Also the remote control did not work in the games room a replacement was supposed to come but again nothing arrived. Also in the pictures it appeared that there should have been a table tennis table and air hockey table. We just had a pool table. We were also only able to access TV channels from online TV applications (ie. Iplayer)."

"Terrible communication before arrival led to delayed check in and was the cause of great frustration after a long drive. No understanding or apology from the property management, completely opposite response from hotels.com who did their best to resolve the issue and were very understanding. Entering the property we discovered a loudly beeping smoke alarm which we had to take down and remove the battery to stop the annoying sound. The property needs some maintenance, a broken cupboard door in the kitchen, the shower hose leaks. The shower is poor quality and has very low pressure and the cubicle is small for what is quite a spacious property. No lamp shade on the ceiling light in the main bedroom and no bedside lights. Poorly equipped with crockery and cutlery. The property has potential to be a very pleasant place to stay but clearly the management show little interest in maintaining it to a high standard. The pictures and description flatter to deceive. The overall attitude of the property management was unacceptable."
