Adorable, fairy tale like setting. Beautiful large rooms. The only complain is the the shower could be repaired in the hotel in room #209. It is was probably clogged up. I wish we had more time to stay. I'd definitely would go back.

I recently stayed at Jacob's Lake Inn near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The inn is located in a beautiful area, and its proximity to the Grand Canyon made it incredibly convenient for exploring. The accommodations were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to visit the North Rim!

This place was $210.00 a night. Way over priced for what you get! Should be $100.00 max. First off the room had an over powering smell like a carpet that has never dried. No fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker, no complimentary breakfast, no place to hang jackets. The tv has two remotes with no instructions and was unplugged. If you want coffee to bring back to your room you have to go to their restaurant, order, wait and pay.

I did not realize that our stay would be lacking fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Lodge had great cookies but had to drive/walk there to get coffee in the morning. Room was clean and spacious.

Old Inn but well maintained and good service.
100 year old facility but well maintained with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms small but they were built a long time ago so kind of expected. Good food and reasonable prices at their restaurant. Supplies available at their general store.

The staff treats you like a member of the family...insanely friendly. The on-site restaurant is excellent and affordable. The gift shop is expansive and filled with native and local handicrafts far better than you would expect at a hotel.

Our stay at Jacob Lake Inn was only 1 night however, we really enjoyed it. The quaintness of the entire place was amazing. We stayed in the “hotel” portion of the Inn. The room was spacious, clean, and the balcony over looked the woods. The rest of the accommodations included cabins and a “motel” portion. The they had a small bakery with fresh baked cookies, a diner, gift shop, store, and restaurant, the breakfast was delicious. The staff were all friendly, would definitely recommend staying here.

Well… it's often said that the best way to judge a hotel is by how they deal with a complaint. In that regard, Jacob Lake Inn deserve a compliment. I checked in late a night, and the guy on reception gave me a very basic map and waved me in the direction of where my cabin was to be found. There wasn't really any signage or lighting outside… but I found my way eventually, (Note to hotel - this failing would be easy to rectify and of value to guests). My room was clean… with the exception of the bathroom, which hadn't been touched at all. (Probably a human error, and these things happen). When I complained about this in the morning, I was given free food in the restaurant for the duration of my stay (2 x breakfast, 1 x dinner). A very nice gesture that I enjoyed. Jacob Lake Inn has the monopoly on being the closest hotel to the (less-visited) North Rim of the Grand Canyon. As such, they offer everything a visitor might need; rooms, food & petrol station. NB: there is a much cheaper petrol station shop en route to the Grand Canyon. I'd stay here again, and I'm sure that most other guests will find nothing to complain about.

This was something of a reconnaissance trip to explore the north rim for a future trip. My hairdresser, who grew up in Flagstaff, raves about the cookies! AZ Highways magazine featured the Inn earlier this year featuring the 100 years of continuous family ownership. Our motel room was comfortable, very clean although musty smelling. Definitely no frills (no coffee maker, fridge, microwave or hair dryer). Fun experience, nonetheless. And the cookies were good! Beautiful location, friendly staff.

Nice hotel building, lovely staff, very good restaurant. Felt like an oasis near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Fill your gas tank ahead of time. Gas prices were piracy.

Enjoyed the quaintness and uniqueness of this property. It's 100 years old, but is in good shape, and captures the atmosphere of the area, especially on the road the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

The girl at the office was very nice. For what we paid we should have had immaculate conditions. The room was terrible musty smelling, which attached to our clothing. There was no fridge, bugs on the window ledge- which I can understand being in a forest, but for the price don’t think I should have seen.
