"Fun to stay in an old historic hotel. Great location in old town Eureka. Lots of restaurants easily walkable. About an hour drive to the Southern entrance to Redwood National Park."

"Requested room service for our stay. On coming back from our first day out, we found that the room was not cleaned. We were told that the staff came by to service the room at around 8:30 to 9:00 am in the morning. We had the do not disturb sign on the door because we were still in the room. We were going for the breakfast at around nine AM. When my wife called the front desk, the staff was not very attentive to our concerns. She was told that we could come to the front desk and pick up the need towels."

"The floors were really dirty and sandy and the air conditioner didn't work but luckily it wasn't needed too much during the night. Overall not terrible. I'd still recommend it for an overnight stay."
