Modern 3BR Home with Private Pool, One Block from the Beach 2 Kings

Bauhinia is just completed all new fixtures and decor, furnishings, and electronics. We have a wonderful location only a block from the blue waters of the Gulf and Captiva’s beautiful beaches and 1/2 block from the Bay with great fishing and boating. Kayaks, canoes, sailboats, jet skis, and power boats are available for daily rental. In addition, we are an easy stroll to 7 great restaurants plus boutiques and galleries.

Enjoy a beautiful heated pool with a large well-furnished lanai, all screen enclosed and ideal for outdoor dining, TV/movie/music lovers delight in a large screen HDTV with hundreds of channels, surround sound DVD system, and even a dock for your iPod. If for some reason you need to stay connected we have WIFI.


All reservations/cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions (policies) of the American Realty Rental Agreement once the reservation is booked thru 3rd party platforms.

Policies include but are not limited to credit card/debit card convenience fees and cancellation fees.

Perfection!!

It's clean, accessible, and very well equipped for a stay if you eat in, or eat out. Beds are comfy. Plenty of room. We love the pool! The pool area screen door latch was broken - it was fixed very quickly.What could be improved? Kitchen lighting is kind of dim. We purchased a frying pan because the ones provided were worn. 3rd bedroom has not TV. Pool area had many spiders and webs.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed staying at Bauhinia. The property was comfortable, cozy & colorful. The only draw back was it's proximity to Captiva Drive so there was some road noise all the time while inside and out of the house. Also other home construction/renovation in the area made it noisy the entire week. Generally the home was clean, but it needed a deep cleaning inside & out. The screened pool area needed a good sweeping and the spider cob webs cleared. The pool area storage closet was a mess & we straightened it out. The outside of the home needed a good power washing. Some renovation debris was left outside the screened pool area. Inside, the kitchen stainless steel appliances did not seem to be wiped down when we arrived. The underside areas where the sinks and counters meet need a better cleaning. The cabinets & drawers could be more organized & loose knives were just put in random drawers and could cut someone, if they were not paying attention while searching for other items from the drawers. All kitchen cabinets & drawers could be more organized so finding kitchen items would be easier. The plantation shutters and light fixtures were dusty. The twin beds were not converted to a king as requested in our reservation & as again requested prior to arrival with a follow up phone call to the realty office. The cleaning company was supposed to come back to take care of some of the cleaning issues, but never showed. The maintenance crew of Rod & Jose were excellent. Also the rugs on the tile floors were a slipping hazard and needed some slip resistant mats underneath them in addition to a good cleaning. The outdoor shower did not work, but the garden hose did. If these items had been taken care of, our stay would have been perfect! We would consider staying at this property again though for it's comfort, coziness and location. The property just need a little tender loving care.
