South Seas Resort Beach Villas 🏝 On The Beach

South Seas 2527 is located in the Beach Villas area of the South Seas Resort, the Gulf of Mexico and pool can be viewed from the private lanai. This comfortable unit has one king size bed located in the bedroom and pull out queen size sleeper sofa. The kitchen is fully stocked, there is an inside and outside dining table for your enjoyment. Beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels are provided with this unit since resort amenities are not available when you rent through an owner. You have access to the beach, pool and BBQ grills located in the front of the unit. BBQ tools are located in the unit. As sofa sleepers are, it is not comfortable for two additional adults. I will not accept a booking for four adults.

CHECK-IN - Check in time is 4 pm. I will post the entry code on the day of check in when the unit is ready and before the check in time on the website.
ENTRY LOCK: To lock the door when you leave the unit, press the lock button in the lower right hand corner of the outside of the lock.
TV-The televisions in the living area and bedroom are smart TV’s with the major apps available: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, DisneyPlus, Sling etc. There is no cable TV in the unit. You will need to use your account passwords to access. Please remember to sign out before you checkout.
EMERGENCY – The local emergency number is 911. If you need to reach me for any type of emergency, please call 239-229-9622. If it is after 9:30 pm, please call twice in a row to get through. Otherwise, it is best to communicate through the website.
NO PETS/NO SMOKING – This unit does not allow pets or smoking/vaping. Smoking/Vaping is only allowed on the outside of the building on the main floor. Smoking/Vaping is not allowed on the lanai per HOA restrictions.
CHECK-OUT - Check out time is 11 am. Please make sure the slider is closed upon departure. Please put all dirty towels/sofa bed sheets in the bath tub and dirty dishes in the dishwasher, do not put anything that has been used back in closet or cabinet. Set the thermostat to 75 degrees. Please dispose of any garbage and perishable foods. I am happy to donate any non-perishable foods left behind.
The rental property was inspected prior to your arrival and will be inspected after your departure, please report any broken items.
SUPPLIES: The unit is equipped with a starter supply kit. There is a basket under the bathroom sink with extra shampoo, body wash, etc., please feel free to use if needed.
ICE: There is an icemaker in the freezer. Push the lever up to start ice making. The ice maker can be noisy when it is dropping the fresh ice into the empty bucket. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to turn it off at night.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER: Fire Extinguisher is located outside of the front entry door.
MAID SERVICE - There is only maid service before you check-in and after you check out. If you would like maid service during your stay, it is available but at an extra cost. There is a mop, broom & vacuum in the master closet to use if needed.
BEDDING FOR SOFA BED - All of the bedding is located on the top shelf of the closet in the master bedroom.
AC/SLIDER - Please do not leave the slider open with the AC running. It is best to leave the AC running and slider closed during the hottest months.
GARBAGE - There are garbage cans located at the other end of the floor and at the bottom of the stairs underneath the building. Please deposit all excess trash in those receptacles.
GROCERIES- Before you come on to Sanibel, there is a Wal-Mart and a Publix grocery store. Wal-Mart (17105 San Carlos, Fort Myers) has on-line ordering with curbside pickup. On Sanibel, there is Jerry's, they have a nice selection of already prepared foods as well as standard grocery store fare. Jerry’s offers on-line shopping as well, jerrysfoods.com. There are a couple of convenience stores on the island, both are limited in selection. Of course, the groceries on the islands are going to be much more expensive than the groceries on the mainland.
COFFEE – There is a Mr. Coffee type drip maker in the unit. Starbucks is located about a block away at the entrance to South Seas Resort.
FARMER'S MARKET - From November through April, Captiva holds a Farmer's Market in the parking lot at the entrance to South Seas. The market is on Tuesdays from 9 am - 1 pm. Sanibel holds a Farmer's Market each Sunday from October through May at 800 Dunlop Rd on Sanibel.
LAUNDRY - There are washing machines and dryers located on the first floor near the base of the steps. These are either coin operated or operated through the app “Clean Cash” at $ 2.25 a load for washer or $ 2.00 for dryer. Otherwise, the instructions are on the laundry room wall.
RENTALS - Sunny Island Adventures located just outside of the gate of South Seas offers golf cart, bike and boat rentals. Yolo Watersports located on Andy Rosse Lane offers golf carts, water excursions and various water sport rentals. Reserve your golf carts early, there is a limited supply. Vacation Baby Rentals rents baby equipment.
TENNIS/PICKLEBALL - Tennis and Pickleball are available at the courts in front of the building. No check in is needed. The courts are currently not available.

CAPTIVA CRUISES – Cruise to Useppa Island, Cabbage Key, Cayo Costa or dolphin watches. Some cruises leave from South Seas Resort. Call 239-472-5300.
LEARN TO SAIL – Offshore Sailing School in South Seas Resort. Call 239-472-7591.
GUESTS- Please register all guests who will be in the unit. Parties are not allowed.
TOWELS-Towels are supplied. Please do not use towels for any makeup removal or beach cleanup that will result in permanent stains. There are rags available under the kitchen sink. Please return beach towels to the unit and do not put them in any of the dirty towel baskets supplied by the resort. There is a charge for lost beach towels.
RESORT ACCESS - Please remember that you will not be able to use the amenities of the resort including but not limited to the resort restaurants, golf course and Pointe pool. The resort is no longer offering amenity passes for guests not staying with the resort. You still have access to the pools outside of the condo as well as the beach. You will need to bring the beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels from the condo to the beach. The pool area has provided chairs.
REFUNDS-It is recommended that you purchase travel insurance to cover your stay. There are no refunds for airline changes or weather related issues.
