My husband and I stayed at Room Mate Luca for 2 nights and it was lovely. The breakfast included was a nice treat. I deducted a star because the shower situation was a bit odd as the water was leaking all over the bathroom floor but aside from that I’d recommend this hotel!

The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic and the water & juice in the lobby was such a great addition. After walking all day it was awesome to drink cold water in the lobby. Breakfast staff was so efficient and helpful, even packing a breakfast for us when we wen on an early morning excursion. Would stay here again.

I thought the bare bones of a v good hotel was there, but there were some things that I think could be worked on. Nevertheless I had a nice time and my stay was comfortable. Thoughts on improvements: - the breakfast was dull - average coffee, basic fruit and basic pastries (amongst other things), but more effort here would really help - the air con wasn’t perfect - granted it was hot - the lighting is off - it was SO dark in the halls, and even at times in the room as there were only lights on the walls, not the ceiling - I thought it was v v odd that there was no access to water in the rooms - no place to fill a bottle (esp in the heat - I wasted SO much plastic buying bottles) and glass bottles weren’t refilled in the day with room service.

I stayed in Florence for the first time this past May at Room Mate Luca for 8 days and it was a nice hotel. Conveniently located close to the city center, clean, good breakfast, room service every day and reasonably priced. They also had A/C in the rooms and staff on site 24/7. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel close to the Duomo and within walking distance of other attractions. The room was clean and the hotel generally well-kept, with a lovely scent in reception! The staff at reception were friendly and helpful.

Our experience was musty, dusty, and dark. I had trouble seeing in the dimly lit hallways. The room was so dusty that my daughter had allergic reactions and did not sleep. The bed and pillow were also very very uncomfortable. The first night's stay was so bad that we checked out and booked another hotel. Room Mate Luca would not refund us, but they gave us some delicious cookies on our way out which to be honest did not make up for the $850 loss.

Fantastic stay- minutes away from the Duomo and train station. What sets them apart is the service that the front desk - Chiara, Eleanora and Alan from the buffet. Chiara really went above and beyond by giving me tips on how to get to my next destination in Cinque Terre.
