Special Offer: For all bookings of a minimum of 3 nights enjoy a complimentary wine tasting on your arrival day at a local enoteca just a few minutes from the property.
Located in the elegant Palazzo Lanfredini along the Arno River, Lungarno Guicciardini is a refined apartment steeped in history and Renaissance charm. The building, also home to the British Institute since 1917, was designed by Baccio D’Agnolo and restored with care by Ilaria Sassolini and Lorenzo Capogrosso using traditional Florentine techniques and materials.
The apartment features:
-Two elegant bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms
- A classic-style marble kitchen overlooking Ponte alla Carraia and Tuscan hills
- A cozy living and dining area with Arno River views, custom woodwork, and convertible sofa bed
- Fine materials including Carrara marble and reclaimed wood flooring
- Stylish decor in soft tones of grey, taupe, and beige
Each room combines historical character with modern comfort (Wi-Fi, Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker). Complimentary Chianti wine from the owners' family vineyard is included.
Palazzo Lanfredini’s Legacy:
Built in 1501 and once owned by the noble Lanfredini and Guicciardini families, the palazzo features Renaissance architecture and Roman influences. It has served as a private residence, hotel, and now houses the British Institute's renowned library.
British Institute of Florence:
Established in 1917, the Institute offers English-language resources, cultural events, and a celebrated Thursday afternoon tea at the Harold Acton Library – a favorite among international visitors.
Lungarno Guicciardini is more than a vacation rental – it’s a refined Florentine experience in a building rich with culture, art, and charm.
Please note that the apartment is non-smoking.
