• Flying can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. • Your electronic gadgets like laptops and phones will also have to go through the machine for inspection. Don't worry though, you'll be back online in no time.
• Travelling with your favourite hand and nail cream? Not a problem. As long as the volume is no larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) and it's stored in a zip-close bag, it's fine to bring with you in your carry-on.
• Choosing your footwear wisely can save you several valuable minutes. Boots are often required to be removed and separately scanned. Slip-on shoes are usually not.
• Sharp items like knives are prohibited in the cabin. They'll be confiscated at security, so pack them in your checked luggage.
