"We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and been really pleased with the experience. This time it was mixed. The public room was pleasant and it was good to see a real fire. When we arrived we had a drink from the bar and were lucky to get seats next to the fire and were nice and cosy. Unfortunately, the rest of the room was chilly as evidenced by the number of blankets stored in baskets. Our room had an unpleasant odour and put it down to perhaps a broken seal on the drains.
