Relaxing Vacation in a Log Home on Big Bay De Noc!
10/10 Excellent
"Truly special property. The epitome of tranquility in a beautiful brand new log home. Highly recommend to those seeking a spotless and spacious home set in a very serene gorgeous piece of the U.P Northwoods. "
"Was a nice cabin . Very private and peacefull . The inside is updated nicely and everything is well taken care of . They do a nice job making sure you have everything you need. Plenty of wood for fires propane grill chairs .yard games and new playset for the kids . Only downside is this looks like a nice swim spot from the pictures but it is all large and small rocks in front of cabin, very hard to walk in . We had to walk down beach a couple hundred yards to the the south to find a usable beach/ swim spot , other then that we had a wonderful time at this beautiful property ."
Stonington Clearview Cottage: Bonfires, Beach Days & Starry Nights – Your Summer Retreat
8/10 Good
"Absolutely stunning location, just steps away from the beach. The cabin itself is larger than I had imagined and while needing some TLC (rescreening a couple of the windows [front door, and right front window], updating/replacing the lazy boy) was perfectly cozy and charming and we loved our 6-day stay.As indicated, the cabin is right on Lake Michigan within a bay. Because the sand bar goes out for more than 100 feet it is absolutely perfect for dogs and kiddos, if you have them :) While there are several cabins along the shore, there are fairly dense woods between them, and during the weekday we rarely saw other folks, which was great for our nervous/reactive dog. Such a tranquil location for all!The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed and we had zero issues with water conservation with just the two of us. On the down side, when it was hot and humid, it was difficult to cool the cabin down with just one box fan and with the windows closed up on our arrival, it was very musty smelling. All said, we would definitely stay here again! The rental company was fantastic to deal with and our check in and communication was flawless.Tips: Bring water shoes! The sand is smooshy pretty far out, and layered with flat shale(?) in other places. Super-interesting geology! The Dairy-Flo in Rapid River had fabulous ice cream and great service and we highly recommend it! Bring cash though, as they don't take plastic."
Shoreline Oasis- Make Waves This Summer – Private Beach + Kayaks + Hot Tub
10/10 Excellent
"This home has everything you need for the perfect Great Lakes getaway. It was an ideal spot to unwind with friends and dogs — they had an absolute blast swimming in the lake! The water was surprisingly warm in the shallow area near the river, and we spent hours just relaxing in chairs set right in the water after kayaking. The private beach is truly secluded — we rarely saw anyone else. It was the perfect setup for a refreshing cold plunge in the lake followed by a quick rinse and a soak in the hot tub. We spent most of our time in the cozy screened-in porch, which was the heart of the stay. I’ll definitely be coming back with my pups!"
