Locals are welcoming and I highly recommend getting the Big Mac Wrap at The Halfway Bar and Grill just across the street. "We were slightly nervous about booking this cottage before it had any reviews, but I'm sure glad we did! It was exactly what we were looking for. We like to be away from the crowds, but close enough to civilization to eat out if we want, so the location was perfect. The cottage is surrounded by trees so it is very private. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming, catching crawfish, bon fires, star gazing, fishing at the cedar river harbor, and watching the wildlife. We even saw a gray fox with little ones...
