But the outstanding feature was the staff not just helpful but friendly and as someone travelling, on this occasion, on my own they were invaluable. Yes, the property did look a little bit rundown and like it could’ve done with a lick of paint in places but that did nothing to detract from my stay. For r a budget friendly break in a long journey I could not ask for anything else."

"Usual quick and easy check-in. Room was clean and tidy. The only problem I found with my room was that it was very hot when I arrived. This was due to the thermostatic valve on the radiator being slightly broken and not fully closing the hot water inlet. Luckily I managed to re-seat the valve, although it did move and open slightly during the night. As I had to leave early in the morning there was no-one on Reception to inform to ensure this was fixed for the next guest."
