Nestled in Canterbury's rolling countryside, Fairlie delights visitors with its famous pies and charming Fairlie Heritage Museum showcasing local history. Outdoor enthusiasts can fish nearby Lake Tekapo or explore the stunning walking trails that wind through the surrounding alpine landscape.
Stayed overnight and it was wonderful. Jenny & Ken were so welcoming and friendly offering us great choices for dining in town. Our room was lovely & airy with fantastic views of the garden area. Two beautiful cats and a dog made it so homely. The amenities in our room were great and very clean and the scrumptious cooked breakfast served up by Ken topped our stay there. Highly recommend +++

We loved our stay at The Mackenzie Suites. We booked the luxury king room, stunning views, fireplace between the lounge and the bedroom. Large high end bathroom with the biggest bath tub I’ve seen. Easy check in with lots of tips on the local area, we would stay here again

Beautiful very spacious very large living and bedrooms. We slept like a baby and it was a self sufficient stay with a proper kitchen, milk stocked, coffee etc. etc. The TV were a bit outdated as they weren't connected to the Internet which could have been better but overall, fantastic property and a great overnight stayer if you are heading to Christchurch to catch a plane or have arrived in the evening at Christchurch and are heading to an alpine retreat

We loved this Motel. The staff/ (Owner I think) was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean.
It is in a great location and a short drive to Lake Tekapo. The owner recommended restaurants and some places to go star gazing.

Beautiful room with great view of the lake, church and southern alps at Lake Tepako. Very modern, well furnished, and warm for our winter stay. Very close to cafes and restaurants. We stayed two nights for our visit and Heli hike to Mt Cook. Would definitely stay again.

This place is a short walk to the centre of town to the great restaurants/bars or shops to do some retail therapy of some unique goods.
Friendly and very helpful hosts.

Great location with good parking. Easy walk into the township. Clean & quiet property. Comfy bed. Basic amenities but lovely tea, coffee & hot chocolate. Have stayed multiple times & would definitely stay again.

Room was clean and cozy. The shower was a bit too small to use comfortably. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is right on the lake and there is a lounge and dining hall that offer stunning views. Would recommend visiting the Dark Sky Project which is directly next door.
