"The staff were absolutely amazing and very accommodating. The included breakfast was a nice addition and the hotel is right in the heart of the town. Everything that matters is within walking distance. My only complaint was that I did not get the room that I thought I selected on Expedia. When I spoke to the hotel owner he explained to me that they are a Boutique hotel and that the images are merely a representation of what you can expect. I also could not get the smart t.v. to work consistently or connect to the wi-fi. I suspect that this was an issue due to the constant need to replace the key card in order to receive power to the room. In all fairness, I did not bother to bring this issue to the attention of the hotel as I did not want to be bothered. I also could not stand the mini-bar that was stocked with overpriced snacks and liquor. It would be nice if they could simply remove the mini bar items, but I was told to place them in the closet instead. I did not want to be charged $3 per beer. "

"Small, older motel-style hotel with bar/restaurant on site. In the restaurant the staff were very kind, attentive and helpful (The steak was great and drinks were good). Discovered Cockroach infestation (multiple sizes) in our room (kitchen). Owner was extremely belligerent and combative, refused any resolution including denying checkout receipt. "The room was nasty, roaches all over the desk and tv console & the bathroom as well. The only reason we stayed is because we had no car to leave. We barely slept & kept waking up to kill roaches. We kept our clothes and toiletries in our suitcases. The shower was full of previous guest hair and moldy. The excuse from the front desk was that this room had been blocked and they gave it to us anyway. Unacceptable!!! We did like the restaurant staff, food was ok views were nice from that area. "

"I recently stayed at the Viva Wyndham all-inclusive hotel and had a mixed but overall decent experience. Starting with the positives, the room was very clean and well-maintained throughout my stay, which made a great first impression. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well—definitely a big plus, especially in the warmer climate. The staff truly stood out; everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, which added a lot to the overall experience. The hotel also has two bars that were both enjoyable, offering a good atmosphere and solid drink options. However, there are several areas that need improvement. The food was probably the biggest disappointment. While there was variety, it lacked authenticity and flavor. Introducing more authentic and diverse food options would significantly enhance the dining experience. Another issue was the entertainment setup. The entertainment area is not enclosed, and the noise carries late into the night, making it difficult for guests to get proper rest. Enclosing this space or better managing sound levels would make a big difference. The beach is inconveniently located about a 3–5 minute walk from the hotel, which a little bit farther than expected, and the resort itself seems understaffed. Because of this, not all restaurants are open daily—typically one is closed, while the others are often fully booked, making it frustrating to plan for dinner.
