Royalton Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

Royalton Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

8/10 Good
"The property was absolutely beautiful, clean, well maintained and safe. The beach was the best part of the vacation, stunning. The staff was attentive and were so helpful. My room was well kept, thank you Celina. Antoinette from Expedia concierge and her colleague (sorry I forgot your name) was amazing and went and beyond to make my experience at the resort memorable and took care of everything for me. Chef O’Shea thank you for all the good food. Amallia from Royalton excursion thank you. To all the hospitality staff thank you. The entire experience was positive. As to all good experiences, there is always some improvements to be made. For me the check in process was long and tedious and needs some organization and more staffing. Also my greatest disappointment was the late check out option. There was not an option to request before and it could only be done the day off check out. The way to request late check out was not clear. One staff told me I had to physically come to the front desk in person the morning off and the next staff member told me I had to call. I did call morning of check out at 7am and then was told that I had to come in person at 9am, which was a significant distance from the rooms. I had to leave the comfort of my bed and trek to the lobby just to be told that it was not available. I was of course very disappointed and upset. I lost 45mins of my precious last few hours on the resort and then had to rush to get ready to check out at 12 noon."

"The Escape Resort is the perfect getaway for the couple whose primary purpose is rest and relaxation. Very peaceful with a nice bay backdrop. The room was adequate and the plunge pool was great. Be mindful that traversing from the Resort via taxi will be costly as the area feels far from everything. My recommendation is to rent a car if you want to explore. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The food selection was very basic especially at breakfast time. I would recommended more variety at every serving time. I must add that the Caribbean BBQ night was my favorite. Overall 8/10 for value for money"

"My husband & I travel quite often and we find this beach to be one of the most amazing beaches by far. The food is exceptional, although I was longing for some fried plantains, but that is minor. The rooms are clean but really does need upgrading, too outdated. I’d say 95% if the staff are quite pleasant and helpful. Greeting to Anaya, she’s one of the best and knows how to put a smile on someone’s face. I will recommend."
