Great little property and hidden gem! Very peaceful vibe, and nice touches with healthy breakfast and sustainable amenities... I enjoyed my stay and will come back again!

We were unaware of their no pet policy. It was not visible on their main page, so when we arrived they would not accept our 5 pound little service dog for my asthma. We wasted our time & money & the parking was terrible too! Very happy we did not stay there! She was not very friendly or helpful & would not consider a change in date so we will never stay there!

Had the best stay here. It’s an oasis and the little touches like the delicious local coffee, wonderful bath products and comfortable bed were really nice. Only two things that were not perfect: they only offer room service after 4 night stay. One reason I like a hotel over an air bb is so I feel like the room is fresh and cleaned when I get back at end of day. Also, was a bit noisy one afternoon - there was a kid on a loud motorbike going around in loops right next the property for an hour in the evening while we were sitting in our outdoor deck area. I realize it’s not the hotels fault but it was def ruining the peaceful mood and worth mentioning. Other than that it was such a wonderful experience. The common room with healthy snacks was a nice touch. There was always parking available and the quality of the linens was nice.

Lovely stay
Even though you can tell there are a few opportunities: water damage around tub, floor tiles need grouting,etc; none of these took away from the fact that this was a little slice away from the busy of North County life. The botanicals for the bath were lovely. The tea and flowers waiting in the room were beautiful. They offer local quality coffee not freeze dried packs. The breakfast options were good and so tasty! And came in reusable containers and the cutest basket.

I love the concept.. as a yoga teacher. Neighbors have Super loud kids… and that’s cool .. but disables “ romance.” Open a closet … walled off sloppy style , no connection on floor casings/ door moldings .. just cheapen how a hotel room of this price should be finished. No couples massage space without a door being open to the outside? It was 46 degrees … no! The staff was wonderful, the grounds are beautiful , our bath was super… the tea and chocolates and massage oil heart … so special … but get a good contractor in there and insulate against the neighbor kids … it’s their house next door so you can’t move them :)

Had a delightful getaway weekend with my girlfriend. The service is top notch - very lovely management. We took advantage of the complimentary honey tasting and purchased the candle making workshop, both of which were really fun experiences. The room was amazing - the management clearly spends a lot of time considering all details to make for a positive experience. Will certainly be back!

This little resort is tucked away and so beautiful and charming. They grow all their own herbs in a lovely garden environment around the entire property. They do a great job of being very environmentally conscience at the same time providing beautiful and comfortable amenities. The entire staff are so friendly and professional. I would highly recommend staying here!!

Overall the property was very nice. The staff is attentive and pleasant. I would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway or longer. The only problem is parking, and I think they would admit that. There is only room for one vehicle per room, and that may be a stretch. You are able to park at a local park a short walk away. Please, don’t let this be the reason why you don’t book. Like I said in the title of this review…I would stay again!

The Inn is beautiful and serene. The property has several small fruit, vegetable and succulent gardens, where we loved eating breakfast. The Inn’s staff were attentive and friendly. It was close to the beach and the San Diego Botanic Gardens— a must see. The Inn at Moonlight Bay was exactly what we were looking for in a short getaway during Covid!

Relaxing Stay
Very relaxing stay. We were greeted with a pot of wellness tea, diffused oils and ocean sounds from the sound machine. From the balcony you can see the ocean in the distance. From the room description I thought there'd be two beds but our room had a comfortable king bed and sofa to sleep on. We had a separate shower and soaking tub. You can hear the occasional train but it was not a distraction to the peaceful atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back.
Breakfast on the outdoor private balcony.
Wellness tea and oil diffuser makes for a nice arrival.

Many unique touches, such as hot herbal tea brewed and waiting for your arrival in your room, spa bath with house-made sachets, whole-property filtered water, yummy chocolates, wonderful smelling soap. The rooms, while small, have been very thoughtfully equipped to encourage a healthful and relaxing experience. My only suggestion for this property would be that there's quite a bit of clutter around the TV area that detracts from the otherwise calming atmosphere. Perhaps putting the many instructions and notices in a binder and placed in the desk organizer would create a more spacious and minimalist aspect.

Loved everything about this hotel!
Loved this hotel! Beautiful, clean, serene -perfect pandemic getaway. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are fantastic. Amazing breakfast delivered to your door every morning. Comfy bed, relaxing bath and shower was to die for. Short walk to the beach and the town is wonderful. Will definitely be back!

The property is a Well(R) platinum certified place, which means it is a haven for humans. The colors and textures and details create comfort and are neutrally-pleasing; the touches such as sprigs of rosemary and candles create a sense of coziness, the soundscape relaxes. The landscaping is fantastic and secluded (especially given the limited space), and overall - the place is perfect to relax in for a couple of days. Finally, perhaps this place is not the type to briefly stop in to spend the night in middle of traveling - you will not appreciate the beauty.

This a unique property, small & intimate. I was happily surprised on my arrival I discovered a well attired garden suite, with herbs complimenting the property. I enjoyed the quiet, peacefulness of my evening. The tea is excellent. The breakfast was filling & healthy. I recommend the Inn at Moonlight Beach.

I never take the time to write reviews but this place was special. Very zen and thoughtful. Great room. Nice bed. Beautiful common area kitchen with healthy foods and teas and everything you need to feel at home. Walk to moonlight beach.

We were blown away by the attention to detail in the Master Suite! There was tea bubbling, an assortment of dark chocolate, fresh picked herbs for a bath, and a diffuser already running. The owner came to show us personally when she saw us arrive late, and her passion was evident about her creation. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the view was quite nice, with an oceanview. The breakfast options were perfect for our stay, as one of us is vegetarian and one is dairy free. The shampoos and creams are all EO which is a great brand and nourishing. We also enjoyed picking fresh herbs from their herb garden in the morning. Again, the detail was so appreciated and she waved us goodbye when we left. Definitely will be coming back.
