"This property is amazing. The views are wonderful and the organization and care the owner clearly takes for the cabin and the grounds is evident immediately upon arrival. The flexibility to open the windows and have fresh air, or use Heat/AC as needed is also very nice. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need and also incredibly clean. It was a wonderful, relaxing time to stay here. I plan to return!"

"Just do it (: This VRBO is an absolute gem and in a perfect location. The location and home were both better than I was anticipating. Lot's of privacy and room for kids to run around outside. 5 minutes max from Custer Town (groceries, dinner, gas stations) but you feel completely tucked away in the wilderness. The home genuinely feels like a Grandma's home. When I say that I mean it in all the best way's possible. It was warm and inviting as if I'd been there before. I've stayed at a fair share of VRBO's. I've never had a host be so kind and considerate. When she found out this reservation was for a student trip, she offered to leave us fresh eggs which was just the cherry on top of her kindness. Great communication and a very quick and easy check in process. I would 100% stay here again. If your goal is to have a get away and be close to countless hiking trails in Custer/Black Hill's. This VRBO is perfect for that. There were several times when the older students just sat on the rocking chairs on the front porch watching the wilderness and soaking up all the nature. I can't thank our host enough! (:"

"We had the cabin up on the hill that had a covered deck that looked out to the rocks, trees, and hillside--extremely private and incredible view. All of us were senior citizens and we managed the stairs to the loft quite readily--it's equipped with railing on both side and this provided the safety, just take it slow in the night and do use both rails, not matter your age, the steps seem a little shallow in depth. Upstairs-- two double beds were comfortable, the sofa bed was not. Plan on just one person there on the couch or plan to bring your own blow up mattress or camping pad. We used bedding on the unfolded couch and it was "okay" just obviously not very roomy. As in any loft building, the upstairs will be warmer. Our stay was in September so it was fine. There was a fan upstairs and there is a good air conditioning/heating unit downstairs. It has a nice feature where it stays constant rather than on and off that could bother the downstairs sleeper. The kitchen isn't elaborately equipped. Bring your own cooking oil, and don't expect a baking dish. Simple dinners worked--eggs and toast, brats, soup, etc. We had our own drip coffee filter but there was a coffee pot. We missed that there wasn't an electric water kettle. So you had to use the kitchen pot to make tea/hot water/drip coffee. Hey, it's not camping and highly recommend staying here, would totally stay again. Beautiful, felt brand new, locked bikes and stored things on covered porch. Loved it!!"

"This cabin was the perfect size for 2 sisters and their significant others to stay at for a wedding in Custer State Park. We had 2 dogs with us and still had plenty of space. This was a great property with a responsive and accommodating host. Would definitely recommend!"
